  1. no formal complaint, I cannot see the point, as I do not intend to shop with then again. They had no idea as to why my order was not delivered. thus if I did try again, I could have the same problem as before, and have to wait a month to get my money back and end up ordering stuff from elsewhere... which was delivered on time...thus I may as well use Morrisons permanently - they have not let me down....YET..
  2. despite numerous phone calls and several emails to Asda, and their escalation to 'urgent '; of my case, they did nothing. today, after 30 days, the hold they had on my money with the bank card expired (by default), and the money was returned. It will be a very very cold day before I use them again
  3. my order has just been updated as cancelled. all I have to do now is wait for a refund before I can eat anything but dust! I will never be ordering from asda again.
  4. nothing seems to have improved since the ops original post. I booked a delivery between 5pm and 7pm yesterday. it never arrived. at 8.30pm, I phoned their 0800 number. 40 minutes later, I was still in the call queue, and gave up! I found a message function on their order site, and filled in 2 separate messages to them.. I am now waiting for a response. the order site states my order is still out for delivery. the money has been taken off my pre-payment card... but no order. I have to go out today, around 8am, so am unable to waste the day chasing the stuff.... I will have to pop into Morrisons or Tesco and get the time sensitive stuff from there, and hope it is not delivered again. Friday, I can chase my prepayment credit card people for a refund, then go to my local Morrisons.
  5. my 6 months PWP ends on or about 4nd January 2014. I must ask them what is happening. If no-one is released from the PWP, they will have more and more weekly / daily attendees, which will limit the 3 minutes given to all current attendees to even less.:sad::sad: at least the post post work programme will require the government to employ thousands of extra staff to spot check all the hundreds of thousands of people out on the streets picking up litter, or doing charity work in Asda or Tesco's. It will also lead a manufacturing revival, as each participant will need a orangey jump suit, reflective & waterproof clothing, boots, a litter grabber, rubbish bags, mops, brooms and even transportation to their designated work point. buildings will have to be hired at each of the 2000 job centres to Marshall everyone (can your job centre deal with 200 to 300 people at one time?) when the start first thing in the morning, and are awaiting the transportation, and for a holding area for those not able to be placed, or those waiting for said placement.my job centre has a small office with 4 computers in, for the people without computers to do their universal job match, which is not big enough.
  6. near me, pertemps used to run the learndirect ecdl scheme. I signed up to do it, but when they found out about my HNC, said that they would not get funding for me to do it, so ripped up the forms.

I have seen a couple 9no regular) jobs advertised for an administrator, I sent my cv and got rang back for an interview with an assessor. on investigating the company, it was not for a specific job. it was for a training course. people went for the interview, were told they lacked the skills/experience, but they could buy the course off them. I cancelled the interview, and have not applied for the 'vacancies' which I see regulary advertised, as a 'two tier' application.

  9. discounting the Work programme external sources, as far as the DWP are concerned, they cannot force you to do more than your job centre agreement ( ES3JP ), which you and a member of staff signed. If they do want you to do more, then they have to issue you with a new jobseekers agreement, which you can appeal against. I did appeal once, when they made a mistake on the form, which is why I always read what I am signing and never take the work of the person asking me to sign.
  10. and proving you cannot teach your grandmother to suck eggs.... in other words, I am doing way over and above what they want, so they can leave me alone, and sort out those who don't.. if they do start, then I can drop my job hunting down over 90% and still be within the limits.
  11. having read a leaflet the DWP gave me, the post WP stuff lasts for 6 months, which will be a nice holiday, as I have been on them 4 years!
  12. courses can be a good thing, and prove to a prospective employer that you are not in a rut. I have a 1994 BTEC HNC in Business & Finance , which is the equivalent to a NVQ5, so most courses won't let me join, as they will not get funding. I have previously tried to get on a ECDL computer course, but my former WP provider would not pay, as they would lose money. they put me on a course to get 2 halves of an NVQ1 in health & safety at work, and something else.
  13. well that was all very interesting.... the session lasted 50 minutes. I was initially given a copy of the exit review to read and keep. the DWP interviewer was amazed at the contents.... in the actions agreed, it stated "continue to overcome health barriers, continue with job search" the further information field was blank. in the next steps field - "continue with job search, and overcoming health problems" Form complete!!!!! to add insult to injury, the advisor named was one that left 4 advisors ago, but their computer system still had a note to see her from 20 months ago, which could not be removed, as she had been deleted from the system. as such we do not know who filled in the form. the DWP interviewer was interested in the exit session, consisting of between 20 to 25 of us, with them trying to sign us all up for a council run course. the DWP advisor said it should have been a 1 to 1... he was interested when I said our joint exit review was putting our name, email address and telephone number on piece of paper, and they had cancelled my scheduled appointment with my new advisor 3 days prior to the mass exit review. I am now seeing 1 of 2 DWP advisors every 2 weeks, on my normal signing in day, but the time is variable - my old time was late afternoon, so I don't mind. I have to search the universal jobs match 3 times a week, search 3 agency sites once a week, and do one other thing to reach my goal of 7 job search actions per week, and apply for 2 jobs per week. I currently do around 58 actions per week, as I am registered with 7 agencies and the universal jobs match to receive daily job vacancy emails. so! for anyone going on a post work programme support session, go prepared, with a copy of your cv's and a list of what actions you take every week to find work.
  14. my interview/interrogation is in less than 2 or 3 hours time. I was up all night with a bad stomach (a side effect of the 6x medication I take). as I gave up at 4am and got up, I am now well enough to go for the interview, and am going to play dumb , and see what happens. Bearing in mind DWP staff may read this stuff, and try to identify their posters, I intend to fully comply with the interviewee, and am taking proof of my weekly 25 hours job search regime.
  15. My first is on the 4th July (2013)- I will post what ever happens on here afterwards. I have yet to receive a call from my WP provider, about collecting a copy of my WPER1, but it has only been 14 since I finished it. I will raise the matter with the DWP, to see if they have had their copy.
  16. this is why there is a wide turnover of staff - they were employed on a relatively lower wage, with promised performance bonuses. as they have not performed, they do not get them, and are saddled with around 200 'clients' each.
  17. I am going to tell the DWP person what the exit review was all about ( a group session selling us something) and ask him about my copy of the WPER1. I have printed the form out for reference if he does not know about it either.. he can then make enquiries with the WP provider.
  18. quite - we all had our own piece of paper, and I had brought my own pen!...the others had to fight over the 2 or 3 they provided. I assumed that as the record they had of everyone was 2 years old, and details never re-checked in that time, they wanted to confirm telephone and email numbers. I gave them my landline, as my mobile is for personal use only.
  19. officially, with 2 weeks to go before your finish date, the DWP will notify your provider that you finish on a specific date. they then have 2 weeks to contact you, and finish you. I attended for a regular appointment on a Tuesday, to be told when I was there, to go away, and come back on the Friday, where I would be part of a mass exit session. at the session, between 20 and 25 leavers where there. 3 members of staff tried to get us to sign up for another 12 month - voluntary - scheme, funded by the local council. on raising the exit review, they knew nothing about it, and was told to get us to put out names, telephone number and email address on a piece of paper. we did, and I left - exit 'review' completed...that was 10 days ago, and I have a meeting with a DWP advisor a week on Thursday.

  21. I was with them 3 years ago, for a year. I was under 8 advisors, 7 of which ordered me to refresh my cv, despite it being less than 3 weeks since the last one did. one advisor told me to lie in my CV, coming up with an excuse to cover a 4 year sickness absence. I refused, and she said she was going to sanction me for it. l I said that that it was a criminal offence of "obtaining a pecuniary advantage through deception"... she checked with a more senior colleague, then backed down.
  22. my last but one 'advisor' from Pathway screwed up my CV for me, insisting I removed a level 5 qualification (a HNC) as he said it would put prospective employers off.....this left me with my 1976 'O' level English & maths as my most recent qualifications. ____________________________________________________________________ I went and signed on today, post WP. I was given a letter to attend a meeting in 2 weeks time, with a personal advisor, to assess the support I will need, based on my needs and skills, to help me find and stay in suitable work. the letter goes on to say my PA will talk to me about jobs, training and other ways of helping me back to work - which is what various agencies have been paid to do for the past 4 years. I think it will be interesting finding out what the others have missed... plus a chance to get permission to scrap the 'pathway' cv I have been forced to use.
  23. Do they pay your travel expenses on non signing on days, or are you disadvantaged and have to pay it yourself, out of your meagre benefits? the rest sounds very interesting, and easy to do. I get 6 job search emails a day, which will all go on the jobsearch log.
  24. good luck to my provider on commenting on my time with them. - over my 2 years, my previous 3 'advisors' left the company, and were replaced. my latest a new employee, I met once - 4 weeks ago. he or they cancelled my last appointment with him, and did not let me know until I was there. when I next sign at the DWP, I will make enquiries to see if I have really finished the WP, as my exit 'interview' was strange! (as mentioned above)!
