  1. The only way you'll get your money back is by doing a chargeback with your bank. its what i did, and it worked a treat. if you can't rely on them to deliver your goods, how can you rely on them to return your money? believe me, taking payments is the only thing they are good at.
  2. yes their prices are good, but there's no such thing as a free lunch as they say. the amount of effort it took you to get your goods is enough to put a lot of people off doing business with them. if you're ok with waiting a month for your purchase and don't mind the additional work in chasing them up then id have to admit its a good deal. my belief though, is that your case is the exception and not the rule. many customers wait months for their goods and some never get them at all.
  3. i agree it should be that way. trouble is, their terms and conditions says you should allow 28 days for delivery. plus your bank will expect you to give them ample time to sort your order out before they are willing to do a chargeback. i can't speak for your bank of course, and you might find im wrong. i can only speak from my experience with HSBC
  4. hi, you'll notice by the responses above that the company has kinda lost touch with their customer base. to cut a long story short you should give them a month to sort your order out and then get your bank to process a chargeback if your goods don't arrive. don't expect any reply to your emails btw. good luck
  5. absolutely, keep us updated. i think the point to avoid TWG has been more than made by all of us, but its still interesting to know how others get on. hopefully your lad isn't too upset.
  6. well they only bothered to get back to me once my bank had processed a chargeback. they did apologise and stated the delay was due to staffing problems. I've given up trying to guess what their issue is. I've got my money back and am wiser for it. its sad to read your son has had to wait for his present. embarrassing for you to have to let him down like that, through no fault of your own. i hope you can get it sorted mate. chargeback is the best solution.
  7. further to my last.... bank contacted and money refunded straight away. no forms or hassle. good old HSBC. lesson learned tho i think. ill always do my homework in future before buying stuff online!
  8. i see, yet another unhappy customer... total wargamer did post a reply on this forum stating he's had credit problems due to maelstrom games going under. but he's since opened a second online business at the same business address. it seems to me he's using the money gained from orders at the first to fund the second. if this is true he's likely to have very little interest in total wargamer any more, and is simply using it as a cash cow. im going to take your advice and contact my bank.
  9. i placed an order on 23rd April 2013 and haven't heard a peep out of them. no goods and no reply to emails. I've also experienced the 'emails only please' phone message, which is never a good sign. given that 99% of customer calls are chase ups on orders or complaints, he's obviously snowed under with unhappy punters! if he can't deliver he shouldn't be taking the money....
