  1. hi everybody, can anyone help me? I am a milkman, working four nights a week and collecting one evening a fortnight. I was told last week that some of the rounds were losing money and that the company were going to have to make some changes, but they definately wanted to keep me on. have worked for the company for 11 and a half months. I have 2 daughters and sometimes struggle with childcare when I am collecting until my wife gets home from work. I was called into the office today and told I had to take on a different round which is 6 nights a week delivering and collecting 2-3 evenings every week. As I can't do the collecting 2-3 evenings a week, I had to leave. I finish tonight and they have offered me 1 extra weeks wages. Is this constructive dismissal? thanks, an ex-milkman.
  2. The goods they have levied in my home are the tv and dvd player. I believe it's called an invalid levy. Thanks
  3. they have visited 4 times. Letter says. Important notice. A bailiff removal team visited today to remove your goods for sale by public auction. We owe the council 350 ish. We owe bailiff 800 ish. Thanks
  4. its an old council tax bill. I have been paying the council on line. Bailiff called 2 days ago and put a letter through my door and added 130 pounds to my bill. Thanks
  5. Hi everyone.I've got a problem with a bailiff. Can a bailiff put a levy on my cars parked on my drive and get them towed away. Do I have to sign the levy form?. Should I Park somewhere else?. Can they get my details from dvla. Thanks
  6. Waited in all day, had stuck a removal of right of implied access form in the window and on the door which several people read as they walked past. My wife had also printed off section 6 of the human rights act 1988, article 1 of the European convention on human rights, the ministry of justice national standards for enforcement agents, invalid levy, doormat levy, case law to back it all up, irregular distress, section 3 of the criminal damage act 1971, section 24/24a of the police and criminal evidence act 1984, section 25 of the theft act 1968, a form 4 which we had filled in with the exact details of the bailiff from the register of certified bailiffs and a list of the offences that could be committed by the bailiff. A big white luton ldv van was parked in the street opposite for about an hour. A man walked up the road, stopped and read the sign, crossed the road and went over to the van. The van left about twenty minutes later. We never had a visit from the bailiff or his locksmith. Do you think they'll come back tomorrow? do you think the notice worked? regards Dean50
  7. hi, i have just realised i have only missed 1 payment not 2. my last payment to the council was on jan 31st so i only missed a payment in december.

  9. have looked on line at my council tax bill and 100 pounds has come of it. the bailiff has lied to me, he said the money went to them not the council. according to the ministry of justice he is not allowed to lie
  10. we paid the council 100 pounds on line, the bailiff said the money goes to them. i did not let the bailiff in today. have just spoken to council, they said the account is with bailiffs and payments must go to them. apparently i have to talk to bailiffs and come up with a repayment plan as it is now out of councils hands. what to do now?
  11. what if they come back with a locksmith and start on my door?
  12. hi. we paid the council direct, bailiff said the payment went to them?
  13. hi my name is dean50, on january 8th you helped me with a council tax problem with bristol and suter i was advised to pay the council direct. on febuary 1st we paid the council 100 pounds and will pay more in march. today they came back again and said they wanted full settlement 800 pounds or tomorrow they will be back a locksmith. i missed two payments to them dec jan after losing my job in december. the levy on my goods is for tv and dvd player. regards dean50
  14. typical, the bailiff has just rung to say he is too busy to come back to us today, he is returning the paperwork to the office tomorrow and we are to ring the office to make a payment. I think I will pay the outstanding installment directly to the council and then email a copy of the receipt to the bailiffs office. Any thoughts on that plan of action?
  15. what happens if bailiff has got a signed warrant and all paperwork in order?
  16. could he have a warrant already or does he have to get it signed by the council or a magistrate?
  17. i have just spoken to the bailiff on the phone and he says that he is a certified bailiff and he is going to get a locksmith and come into our house in about an hour to take our possessions. we have tried speaking to the council but they are closed on a Wednesday. he is insisting that we give him all the money we have. if we do that we will not be able to put money on the electric meter or feed our two children until the end of the month.
  18. hi one last thing, does it being a priority debt change things?
  19. hi again, bristow & sutor have added 130 pounds to the bill for tonights call, is that acceptable?. if i am not in can they break in?.
  20. hi, the debt is council tax. we had an agreement with the debt peoplewhich we couldn't afford so a bailiff came round and made us a new more affordable agreement and took the details of our goods for possession. About two weeks later, the company sent us a letter to say that due to an administration error, they hadn't charged us enough and were increasing the repayments. We made the first payment in November but didn't pay the December one. we were just about to pay the original amount when the bailiff came round tonight. he says he wants at east half by 11 am tomorrow. we have £320 to last until my wife gets paid on 28th January so will not be able to even put electric on the meter if we pay him. The bailiff says that unless we pay what he wants, he will force his way in and take our possessions.
