Why will trading standards have no interest in this? Car protect sold me warranty that when they cold-called me saying they covered air-suspenion. So surely they must at least help you??? Also yeah it will cost no more than £1000 to fix from BMW themselves and lower at other BMW specialists etc. I may be able to take them to small claims on the basis that they have recorded their calls on the day the cold-call was made. I honestly cant believe this! i am pay ing £25 a month for something useless and i could have paid £31 from warrantywise and i would have been covered for air-suspenion. I also see someone else on the forum has problem with car protect!

yeah exactly! i shall be talking to trading standards in regards to this!!! i feel happy that at least i took the lads name, the date and time of the call just incase they can refer back to it in court if needs be

Hi, i have a BMW E61 2008 and i bought this car 2 years ago. I recently took out the warranty from car protect as i had a call from them earlier this year and they sounded pretty good () I specifically asked them if they covered air suspension and the lad their said he does, so i took his name and details of the call down i.e. time, date and caller. A few days ago my air suspension pump has failed and i have got it diagnosed from bmw. I called Car protect and they said they dont cover the air suspension pump! i had a right go at them saying that the car has only air suspension and no other type, therefore it should be classed as suspension and be fixed under that! They disagreed and so i will be calling trading standards as they claims to cover suspension but my car has air suspension so they have mis-sold me the policy and i should get it fixed or have my premiums returned!
