  1. Hi all, I was one of the lucky people to recieve an audit letter saying they were going to audit our tax credits that we had recieved last year. I sent off all the information they asked for and have recieved a letter from them today. firstly the letter doesn't make sense with the grammar being incorrect but i wanted some advice on what it may mean... The letter says: I have made a decision that I do not accept that your childcare costs were correct. (this is the part where the grammar is incorrect lol) I have adjusted your claim as a result. You will soon recieve an award notice detailing your tax credits award for the year 2011-2012. We have also recieved a letter from them with a new award dated the same date as this letter on which we have been awarded £1500 of underpayment from last year. I just wanted some clarification about the letter if anyone can help...does this mean we were underpayed and the £1500 is to catch us up or should we expect another awards letter? any help is greatly appreciated
