  1. Take them to the cleaners. And don't take no for an answer. I think a lot of the banks are now playing silly b...ers, and trying to take claimants for idiots. I personally think when the banks were told they would have to pay people back their ppi premiums & interest. A seperate body should have been dealing with it. And i don't mean the FOS. I just think if banks can get away with saying no, then they will. Do not put up with it. Do whatever you have to do, to get the response you want. And good luck with it.

  3. well got their final response today. Not going to pay it back. But have credited acoount with 36.00 of late payment fees returned to me. Sent all the documents required to fos. Phoned them today to ask why would they pay back late fees then. Summat well shadey going on. Well fingers crossed FOS will sort it now, feel iv'e exhausted myself with them. Maybe thats what they want, to try wearing me down
  4. Yeah thats right about it not being PPI. I asked them to stop collecting it, and they did. Tried claiming it back. Just found out today that they have refused to do so. Thing is i never signed anything. And they say i took it out over the phone. A verbal conversation is not legally binding. I signed nothing. Was in financial difficulties last year. Vanqius rep rang me and gave me a proper b........g over the phone. Yet the plan i'd paid into for 36 months was not mentioned. If it was there to help in difficult situations why was i not reminded i'd paid it and could use some part of it, untill my financial situation had settled. Instead of being shouted at down the phone. By the way do you work for Vanquis ?? To all who read this there is no way i will let it drop. If i wasn't paying into some trumped up plan it's possible my debt would be significantly lower than it is now. I will go to whatever lengths to get my money back. And the same way the [problem] surrounding the PPI came out to all those who paid it, will happen with ROP in time. And i will make this public in anyway i can.
  5. Hi, anyone help on this one. Tried to claim back ppi on argos storecard. Firstly was told to send off a letter complaining about the mis-sold ppi Secondly letter came back totally denied i ever had a storecard with the. Thirdly phoned them, got them to look into their archives, where they found me apparantly by my D.O.B. Was told they would be investigating. Two weeks later no reply. i phoned again. And the person who was dealing with me, wouldn't even come to the phone. Apparantly she was just about to write to me. But the message i got was there was no ppi paid by myself on the account. i said if that is the case then send me a copy of my original statements and contract as i did not believe them. The fact that they even tried to deny i had a card. Was told they would forward then to me over a week ago. Sent them an email. Still no response. It can't be right just to tell some-one verbally no ppi was sold to them, and end it there. No letter no nothing. Anyone any ideas??? or do i go straight to FOS??

  7. I phoned them and cancelled mine, they agreed to it. They sent me a letter saying it was cancelled. This is yet to be seen. If i open up another statement from them and it is still there, there will be hell to pay. The ROP is some clever disgiused premium which is not worth the papaer it is printed on. I got into problems just before xmas. One of their reps rang me and gave me a proper telling off. I was so angry i just told him don't you ever ever ring my phone again. My phone is for family and friends, and he was neither. I pay my bills. But when they never seem to go down i wonder what i am paying for. I will challenge the ROP even though i have been told it is not PPI. I will go the whole length if need be. And only hope others do the same. If all are unhappy with ROP it can only be challenged if all stand up and be counted
  8. Same here. This is a card people should steer clear of. I have just about had enough of them. And at the moment couldn't care less what action they take against me. I would have to tell the courts just how much i have paid up and the bill escalates instead of decreasing. Now at a loss what to do.
  9. My experience with them is still ongoing. Today i just refused to make anymore late payment fees, as i paid the money by FP and they refused to acknowledge that it takes two hours. Or usually at some point in the day. Said they were not part of the faster payment group. Forgetting i have paid this way on the last 4 occasions. And yes their customer service is not good. I wonder why so many people have serious concerns or complaints with this bank, and nothing is beeing done.
