  1. Thanks, is there any particular template I should use? I am currently on the receiving end of texts that are bordering abusive.
  2. Hi, I took out a £100 loan with Microlend at the start of June, I subsequently left my job and could not afford to repay. At the time, I made a token gesture of £35 reducing my balance to £135.00. This I was told, in text and via the phone would be frozen, no interest or charges to be added, and they would keep in touch with me over the next couple of months. This I agreed to, and subsequently started a new, temporary contract. Paid through an umbrella company, which I explained to them meant my wages could hit my account on payday at any point of the day and they agreed, and I have proof, via text that they accepted this fact. The payment was due Fri 5th Oct. Only one slight problem, I was missed off the payment run so nothing hit my account until yesterday. I used a separate account so Microlend could not debit anything they liked (which as it turns out was a good idea) as they were now claiming that I owed £320.00. I agreed in full and final settlement to pay half at £160.00 and actioned a transfer from my account to theirs last night. This shows on my bank statement already and my balance is reduced accordingly. This again, is in writing, via text (I am refusing to speak to them on the phone). However, this morning the calls start and in 90 minutes, I have had 3 texts, and 3 missed calls saying they haven't received calls and are bombarding my current employer with telephone calls. Not helping this is that I am currently ill, in bed. I have stated I will forward a copy of my statement later today (I will black out all other information) showing the payment leaving my account, but still they are harassing me. And as far as I know, my employer. What can I do to get them to stop? I want to ensure that on receipt of my statement this is backed up with appropriate language, information, etc. I am hoping they are not bombarding my employer with calls, as it may very well cost me my job! As a contractor, they can end the contract without having to provide a reason. All help greatly appreciated!!!
  3. Hi, After putting a deposit down on a new house a couple of weeks ago, I took out a 7 day loan from Quid24 to tide me over until I got paid - 5 days later - for £100.00. As promised, I logged on, on the loan due date and used my card to repay the £110.00 owed under the agreement. I subsequently received an email giving me the transaction ID, date, etc stating that it was successful. Over the course of the following weekend, you can imagine my surprise therefore to recive another 2 emails telling me they hadn't been able to debit the rollover fee of £15.00 from my card for non payment, and that additional admin charges of £60.00 had been added so the debt totalled £170.00. This was received on a Sat morning. I immediately replied to say I had confirmation the transaction had been successful, where they wanted this sending to, and asked for all collection procedures to halt, and no further interest/charges to be added. As I was disputing the payment. As far as I am concerned. This has been repaid. Fortunately. I used a different account to my main one! The following day, Sunday, I received another email - this one telling me their next collection had failed and another £50.00 was being added. Balance now £220.00. Once again, I reply stating this has been repaid and giving ticket numbers. (When you send an email, they open up a ticket - nor do they have a phone number you can call.) I received a response saying they couldn't find in in their account, and deemed the transaction failed - but they would accept payment of £125.00 provided it was made that day. I refused. Both my statement, and the supporting email show the payment as successful - although still pending. Once again, I reiterated the fact I was disputing the debt, and that they halt collection and stop adding charges. To this I replied, and did as they asked, and sent the confirmation they had asked for (which required an additional ticket). Another email (which I ignored as I assumed it was automated and they were looking into it as it was sent the early hours after the above) adding a further £30.00 in admin fees for repeated non collection. Balance now: £250.00. And then 24 hours later, a FINAL REMINDER... Telling me they still hadn't been able to reclaim the funds owed which now stood at £300.00 and further action would be taken. Any advice as to what action I can take next? Strangely, nowhere have they mentioned the £10.00 they have managed to take off my card... (it's all I left on there) I have no qualms about paying what I owe - but as far as I am aware - this debt was settled, my bank tells me so, and I am at a loss as to what to do next. I have had no response to my later emails pointing them in the direction of all my previous tickets... Any advice??
