a pre-auth is usually a company doing an authorisation check to confirm your account and details, if you apply for a mobile phone for instance they will do this, the account should be automatically refunded however. if not contact the bank, you may need to change your card, if its vizsa though the card details can automatically be updated at the companies end and it will carry on.

i have exactly the same problem, i have had the agreements for 14 months, removed the osc and dlc, paying more than before £40 a month in total, phoned them up and they said to pay it all off would be £356.18 or to carry on for another two years would be 406.18, what i thinkn they do is apply all of the interest within the first year on a daily basis at 39.9% APR, its a joke

she shoudl get a letter from the doctor explaining what she has and how it came about, then write a letter to head office including a copy of the letter, explainign the situation and you would like to set up a new agreement for less money each month
