  1. or try frightening the bailiff with a form4 for excessive charging, no bailiff wants this and will turn the most hardened into a squeaky girl!!
  2. I didn't deal so much with parking fines but the council are aware of the charges and you can ask for a breakdown of fees and if they are charging for bogus visits then ask for proof as most cars have trackers and failing that they use pen forms linked to their phones which send a gps location when the bailiff sends it through as this was a requirement from most councils as many people said they had never had a visit and they were probably right so ask for proof and be adamant as and they may back down somewhat and you can get this resolved, speak to the council and ask what they should be charging and most councils are linked up to bailiffs website so they can review cases so they will see if you have had previous visits bogus or not but.
  3. contact the CAB they say and it will be put on hold(wrong), depends who you speak to at the council and whether they have a good rapour with the bailiff concerned or not but from the bailiffs point of view(me)they want as little hassle as possible so will negotiate and others are just complete bastards!! having a bad month, put waiting time on, say its double the van/attendance fee for a colleague turning up that they were going to meet for a coffee anyway, anything and evrything to justify the fees, i have been caught uo in it myself so know most the tricks of the trade.
  4. Many apologies as post not meant for you as i was trying to keep things realistic for someone and we all make mistakes. Left the job in April but really left along time ago and as i had worked in the debt industry for 20yrs then some things are hard to leave behind. My intentions are to give advice and in some cases it isn't always going to meet with rave reviews but it will be honest and real time.
  5. If from one visit an ambulance was called then what several visits later? Maybe you aren't as unwell as you make out and just want to carry on venting your anger at bailiffs rather than resolve the issue in the first place. Goodluck
  6. need to deal with the now as no bailiff is bothered whether there has been past correspondence or not as they just want paying
  7. move your car mate and don't just park it round the corner as they will look there, many threats as usual but they may come back, and if your car was clamped it would be very visible(big yellow clamp) and for safety reasons they should put a sticker on your front windscreen or drivers side door just so you don't just get in and drive off clamped and damage your car. No car then they got nothing to hold you over
  8. Ring the bailiff tell him knock off the visit fee as they all have descretion to deal with fees if they so want although they will say they don't and its the company
  9. Its been happening for years and theres been no change as I can recall many a year ago that a partner at the bailiff company I worked for took edited and MP out for lunch and not for the 1st time, this is when we had the dreaded poll tax. Money brings power and gives you a different circle of contacts in higher places to get what you want and them like luxury holidays, cruises, conservatories, new cars, job for the kids, old cliche but its not what you know but who!
  10. Story tellers is what alot of bailiffs are, big themselves up with passed on stories and get their egos massaged by any fool who wants to listen.
  11. It was unfortunate last night on Exposure for the bailiff concerned as it could so easily of been any bailiff and yes Rossendales will be fully aware of his methods to collect debts as this is encouraged unless you have too many complaints the council wants some action taken or you are exposed on TV where upon they had no option but to let him go.
