  1. Nationwide and LV insurance (possibly run by the same company) specifically state, you only need to pay the excess towards your own repairs and I'm pretty sure you will find most other insurers are the same. Excess does not apply on Direct-Line 3rd party only insurance... It also seems illogic to have to pay an excess toward a 3rd party claim.
  2. Appreciate the reply ims, after reading more thoroughly some other 1st/lcs threads, I am also leaning toward seeing what drops on the doormat next.
  3. Hi, seems this outfits next missive has arrived today, it is from what looks like thier in-house legal team, should I be worried, is it time to cca them? Thanks. scan_003.pdf
  4. Never used it myself, just dont unplug it when it is working :] Just checked here and pressing safely remove is working, on win7x64. Perhaps you aren't clicking hard enough ;]
  5. Hi this is the letter: Edit: well thats ridiculously small, do I need to host it elsewhere?
  6. No I dont have any statements, there was no ppi on the account, but there is probably a good few charges on there. I seem to remember them charging for missing a payment, and then for late payment :/
  7. Thanks for the replies. I have sent them no cca request, I have sent them nothing. I dont remember receiving a noa from 1st credit but I could well have done, and on the letter it says "Account purchased date: xx/01/2007" so it looks like they bought the debt. It looks like the CPUTR letter is acknowledging the debt if a legally enforcable signed cca is produced, do I really want to do that?
  8. Hi guys, been floating around this forum for a while now, and have to say it is interesting reading. Been getting hassled recently by 1st credit about an old barclaycard cc that was defaulted in dec 2006 and have not acknowledged it since...They are claiming just over £7k and I am still in no position to be able to repay this :[ Have received many letters from 1st credit, most notably one offering me a 50% reduction which led me to believe they have little to go on. But now I have received what looks like a pretty standard "Legal Proceedings Being Considered" letter. I am considering sending them a cca or prove it letter, what do you think?
  9. Sorry I offer no help, but just had to say I am disgusted at the punishment you receive for actually paying your debts off!
