i had a similar accident about 20 years ago , except nobody was called out ,i hit a lamp post due to ice and scrapped the car there and then ,it was a total write off and only insured 3rd party ,bear in mind it was in the middle of no where too so no witness or anything ,after 5 years my council billed me too for about 700 pounds ,for replacing the post,i offered 5 pounds a month and the accepted that took it by dirrect debit,i totally forgot about the payment and had over paid ,they refunded the differance

it really is a joke ,when i got divorced a few years back i paid my wife direct she too was claiming all sorts (you name it she was getting it) i on the other hand was working all the hours god sends, she to got the csa involved , i was left with no money ,no business and ended up moving abroad my son is 12 now and i miss him so much ,but i was not letting my ex cream of me ,oh i forgot to mention she also had a new man three weeks after we separated and was still getting single housing benefit etc,this country is a joke how the man always gets fleeced ,in the end its always the children who suffer.

i have a friend who used to own a company renting cars in thailand ,i know its a diferent country but could be relivent,his co was called virgin car hire ,and you know who contacted him and tried to get him to stop using that name,they did not want to have people think they were being misled ,he had been trading for years with this name,he told them where to go,a few months latter they agreed to pay him to stop,it was a decent offer to him ,which he accepted ,might be a idea

i had a similar thing years ago ,they said it was a obstruction to blind and people with prams,i simply pointed out their signs and bins which were on the path,in my case they turned a blind eye in the end i owned a second hand shop and had to display some goods outside,i had no problems after ,but that was about 6 years ago,it could also depend on how wide the path is ,in my case it was quite wide about 4 meters and i still left 3 meters
