  1. I would suggest that you request to keep communication in writing. As long as you keep replying, Swift Sterling will be able to help you out. Your debt will probably be passed over to debt collection agency and it’s up to you if you want to prevent this from happening.
  2. Once you cancel the DD with PT, they won’t be able to take payment. The only way they could take payment if you have given them your debit card over the phone to make payment. PTP will keep in touch with you as you owe them money and probably will give your file to a debt collection agency and you will need to decide if this is worth the hassle or to deal directly with PTP. You can contact the Payment Services Department of Pounds Till Payday on 0800 234 69 55.
  3. Pounds Till Payday will not contact you at work if you tell them not to do so. Just give them a call on 08000 327 655 or send them an email ([email protected]) and explain your situation and see what they reply. Advise them that you wish to keep all communication in writing and that you are willing to come to an arrangement. It’s all part of the OFT guidelines. They will be able to help you out with this.
  4. PDL companies would have to operate within debt collecting guidelines of the OFT otherwise they would get shut down. Your loan agreement would state all the terms and conditions including info such as having your file passed on to a 3rd party collector. Calls would be recorded so you can always request a copy of your calls made.
  5. Contact Swift Sterling if you feel that you cannot pay and explain your situation. Swift Sterling is obliged to restrict calls to your employer if you request so as long as you constant communication with them (example: email).
