Hey, I was in a very similar sitaution last year... I got the letters continuoulsy for a few months. I completely ignored them!! Then they stopped coming. I just received one again last week (over a year later)... I keep trying to find info an people being taken to court by rlp... but can't find anything appart from the stuff on their website!! it's strange. I was wondering if paying part of the fine (coz thats all I can afford) reduces the chances of me going to court (if I was to)? Main concern is because such a record can affect my employability. Hey guys, I was shop lifting a few months ago and was lucky enough not to have had the police called, and just got a ban from the store. It was a pretty scary experience and have definately learnt from my mistake. I got issued an rlp letter demanding a fine of £130. After doing a lot of research online, I figured it'd be best for me to ignore the letters. Today, i received the 5th letter saying this is their last attempt at getting me to pay or they will 'carry out their client's instructions' ie: prob take me to court. I was wondering whether I should start getting worried now and write back or just keep ignoring them, and they'll hopefully leave me alone? I'm going away for a few months now, so I definately won't know or see anything they send me for a while. And i also have not sent them a letter or anything up to date.
