thank you for your response swinginapig that is a weight off my mind More though. If someone is sanctioned do they lose their housing benefit. I ask this because as far as I can gather the universal payment is one payment that covers all and if sanctioned it would be counter-productive to have someone become homeless because of this.... so, do they still separate the two payments but call it a single payment? if they do then it sort of defeats the concept of a universal payment when separate calculations are made for the rent. I have been "Invited" to an assessment in June and the dread and stress of this has aggravated my condition..... what I am unable to find out at the moment is whether, the rent is still covered through all of this or whether I am destined for the front door and the streets? I just cannot find anything that clarifies where i stand through the whole process of this can anyone tell me about this please?

ok this is complicated and probably will take a little time to go through so grab a coffee and sit back back and enjoy on 2005 due to illness i was forced to go onto benefits at the time i had quite a hefty credit card debt after two years of making minimum payments on it with benefits [having to go without some essentials to do this] i looked at my statement and found that i had paid over £800 but the total debt had only been reduced by £27 i rang Alliance and Leicester up [MBNA] to talk about this and the person wasn't really helpful at all. In fact he informed me that due to the rises in interest rates that were going to kick in i would probably lose the £27 i had taken off the bill. As you can imagine this was not what i wanted to hear so i contacted the CAB and arranged an appointment with them. this was on the 12th December 2007 the CAB class Credit Card Debt as a low priority but still they took the case and wrote to MBNA making the £1 per month offer, and telling the company to send all correspondence to them at the same time informing me not to answer any further mail from the company. As the CAB only keep their cases open for 3 months and if there is no response the case was then closed with no further action because the company did not respond. Instead after the 3 months i started to get more mail from the company [Alliance & Leicester] threatening al the usual things till finally on the 8th of October 2008 i received a letter [dated 1st october 2008] from Arrow Global Limited [15 Old Bailey London EC4M 7EF] which informed me that MBNA had now assigned the account to them effective 29th October 2008 and that under the terms of this assignment and as defined by the data protection act 1998 Arrow Global LLC is now the data controller of the personal data contained in the records of this account. on the attached letter was a default notice This letter also stated that Clarity Credit Management Solutions Ltd had been appointed by Arrow Global LLC to manage this account and that [here they used Bold font] "All contact regarding my account should now be directed to Clarity" after the usual conversations on telephone with clarity and a reiteration of the offer made by the CAB i then told them that these calls were beginning to make me feel as though they were harassing me and i asked their representative if they understood clearly what that meant. needless to say they hung up. now out of the blue i was handed 4 letters today 1 dated 09 march 2011 it reads Re: Mr [my name there] We are attempting to contact the above named person regarding a personal matter and we have been provided with your address as a possible address for our subject/customer. if you are the person named above, please contact our office on telephone 0845 3136627 If however, you are not the person named above, please accept our apologies for this contact. If you are able to supply us with information as to where our subject may reside. we would welcome any contact from you so that we may update our records appropriately Yours sincerely [squiggle with fredickson something ltd] fredrickson international ltd 2 letter came shortly after that from fredrickson demanding the balance be paid in full 3rd letter after that came from Arrow Global Geunsey informing me that Aeeow Global LLC had assigned the debt to them and that fredrickson internation limited it the address i should direct any queries too. there was also this "Please Note that all current arrangements in respect of such account shall remain in place and you should direct queries to : Fredrickson." 4th letter was the pay up or we go to court letter from fredrickson now there are some questions i would like to ask what happened to Clarity who were managing my account at the behest of Arrow Global LLC? shouldn't i have been informed by Clarity of the sudden change in circumstances? Arrow Global make no mention of that in their letter either it is as if it never happened. 2nd the reason i received all 4 letters at the same time is because i live in a block of flats and all 4 letters were address to me by name but they put flat 1-25 on the letter so of course the postman couldn't deliver the letters because he wasn't sure which flat it should go to and so they were left in a pile on top of the letter boxes along with all the junk mail. Judging by the letter from the first letter from fredrickson they don't seem to know either. All 4 letters are addressed this way. strangely enough the letter from arrow global in 2008 was addressed to me at the right address so i am not sure what is happening at the moment. so if they do not have the right address it could mean they do not have of the relevent paper work either yes? i had thought about writing back to them however, i fear this is a fishing expedition from them to get the real address with regards to current arrangements i agreed to nothing with them at all but if they are referring to clarity i am not sure either. that one has me scratching my head How does a company go to court if they don't have the right address? anyway any opinions on what to do would be gratefully received thanks PS. i am still off sick and my illness will not see me going back to work in the near foreseeable future
