Can i just stress something here for the record. Of course it is wrong legally and morally to send anyone a threatening message weather it be by text,email or anything else. i fully accept that 100%. But what has happened here seems to be that this "message" regardless of who it was from has resulted in Mr H deciding to leave ads alone which was not happening before. Ads was doing things the correct way by requesting documents and so on and all i could see on here was another "Good morning ads what am i doing wrong" style message being sent to ads by Mr H on a seemingly daily basis. The main pupose of ads thread was that he did not owe any money and this clown would not stop harassing him. Then this message gets sent and then hey presto he hears no more.Regardless of the legal and moral side of it all that is sometimes what happens in the real world weather we like it or not. I personally would be going out of my way to find out who it was and thank them rather than wanting to make a criminal out of them. As said above this issue of the email is red herring in this whole story when the original purpose was to get this individual to leave ads alone.

ok well sorry i spoke. best wishes ad but i fear you will just be getting bogged down in one gigantic legal mess all round here. if thats what you and others want then fine but i have tried to be a voice of sanity somewhat here.

I am not posting for the sake of argument Brigadier. i am merely constructive points that no one else seems to be doing so far. Everyone seems to want to have the sender of the email hung drawn and quartered when he or she should be contacted and taken out for a drink quite frankly! lol

Sturose. what good is it going to do the OP's state of mind if he gets into a further tit for tat legal battle with Mr H or this email sender? it will just be a lengthy legal process and battle that will drag on and on with no guarantee of any success at the end of it. Not what id want if i were the op at this moment in time id just be glad its ended how it has done and moved on with life.

im sorry ads but with the greatest respect i dont understand you wanting to drag this on and on and it seems like your ego has been dented because the end game wasnt arrived at the way you would have wanted. let it go for goodness sake man and just post back here if you ever hear anything from Mr H again. caggers and your thread will always be here when needed.

But the man was still not leaving you alone even though you were adamant all along that you owed nothing. and whilst no one condones vigilantism. seems like a good old fashioned dose of that albeit through the internet has what has brought about getting Mr H to leave you alone full stop.id see that as a great result personally.

ok i understand that.but regardless of weather it was you or not.it has resulted in an end result that you were not getting up until that point from what i could fathom whilst reading this thread a few times over. it sounds to me like you want to make Mr H pay for all the bother he has subjected you to.if i were you id personally be glad that he was out of my life and would just get on with life. there is an old saying. when setting out for revenge you first dig 2 graves.

what way would they be getting exposed as exactly a baddie or a goodie? it reminds me a bit of that 80s tv series "The Equalizer" were people who were desperate and being threatened got Edward Woodward (McCall") to "deal with them" when the authorities wouldnt help lol

if someone had sent an email to someone else on my behalf and it had the same result as here i would think i had a guardian angel or something lol

well it would be an irony if the sender ended up being punished and the original cause of all the op's troubles being Mr H himself had nothing happen to him at all. in other words who ever has inadvertently done the op a favor comes off the worst. strange country we live in eh lol

Agree in principle of course but when on the receiving end of threats from someone else and of whom is making their life a misery. im not sure needing to grow up and not act foolish comes into play really.more a case of self defense in whatever way was required i would say.

I fully acknowledge that nobody should be threatened. but if a person is being intimidated and harassed so much then what are they supposed to do? the obvious answer to that is get the authorities involved.but we know how useless all the authorities are these days and that includes the police and the courts. so of course while its not legally or morally right. a sort of "leave me alone or else" message can sometimes have the required result as it seems to have done so in this thread.

The dca industry and people like Mr H push people so far that they eventually snap. yes its illegal to threaten i accept that.but people can only be harassed and intimidated so much these days before they eventually blow a fuse. in this era of cuts as well i can only see instances like this being on the increase. if the authorities got a grip on this wretched industry then people would not be tempted to act like that. but they dont and people get backed into a corner so much that they eventually lash out.

Forgive me if ive misunderstood somewhere in all of this so far.but someone has sent an email to Mr H and now he is not continuing with any actions against the op? sounds like whoever it was that sent the email deserves a clap rather than anything else. if thats what it takes for these leaches to go away in this day and age then maybe we should all start doing that as the usual methods and authorities are so useless at stopping them.

Even £1 per month is too much for someone who is unemployed. that money is used to for paying basic bills,eating and finding work and not a penny of it should have to go to paying off creditors.

No powers to visit you either. if anyone does who is not from a court then tell them to foxtrot oscar and call the police if they refuse.

It is simply a load of solicitor gobbledygook designed to sound more scary than what it actually is and another way of saying "you must reply to us or else" - of course you are under no obligation to reply to any solicitor whatsoever as they have no legal powers.only an actual court does of which you must always reply to of course.

From what i can conclude wouldnt it better to see what Mr H does next if anything at all? sounds to me like that man is rattled and may now realize that messing with ads is no longer worth his while. If ads hears no more from him then great. I just hope that next person Mr H targets finds cag as well sooner than later.

Amazing thread and story all of this is lol If the court case has been stopped then its a case of job done on op's part really, they just need to clarify it officially from the court just to be on safe side. If the police started chasing everyone who sends bad emails then they'd be knocking on virtually everyone's door quite frankly as most people have done things like that to one extent or another since email was invented. im not saying its not a bad thing to do just that the police have a bad enough time trying to even find the local burglar or mugger these days never mind chasing up everyone who says bad things over the internet! lol
