Well i'll hold back a bit longer,It would be nice to get some of it back if not all of it!. They are so keen to take their customers homes as well as all these additional cost's. This is one i will take pleasure in greatley. Do keep us all posted it will be very much appriciated:)

Sod it! Ive decided to go ahead & send of my letter to Gmac.Ill never know unless i try will I, I just a bit nervy because of how i was treated by Gmac. They can be quite intimidating cant they?? Thought i might just throw in a request for the original mortgage offer as well.

I have a question, I put in a claim at the court on Fri 13th April, I haven't had anything back at all, not even from the courts. their time was up today so now need to enter my judgement,Does anyone know if i can add to my claim as have more charges leaving my account tomorrow. Will i have to add to my existing claim & pay an additional cost to the court?

I have house & motor insurance through Direct Line, I have roughly 8 years no claims on my policy for motor insurance with direct line with protection. on the 10/02/2007 a friend of my daughters who is 15 stole my spare car key from my kitchen,then 4 days later came back & stole my car, at the time my key was stolen it was reported to police who were at the time more interested in another issue with my daughter.My car was recovered but not the spare key & as i had proceeded to put in a claim through direct line 6 weeks later after calling them several times have been told that they will not pay out on my policy because i had not secured the car properly???? It has taken 6 weeks for tham to tell me this, I was also told that i could pick up my car from the garage, baring in mind that they had not even told me where it was as they had not even bothered to contact me at all during this time,Surley this does not take 6 weeks my cover is fully comp & i have at least 8 years no claims.I am also concerned that they might turn around & charge me for the storage of my car at their approved repairers for 6 weeks? What can i do as the key has not been recovered & my car is not going to be secured when i get it back? Any advise anyone:mad: I am so annoyed as i cant even leave my car on my own drive now in case it goes again. Im gonna have to take it to my brothers & carry on using the bus until i get the locks changed i dont know how im supposed to pay for this, I thought thats what motor insurance was for?????????

I have a question. as i can not find my mortgage offer from Gmac & neither can my broker & the info i got on my final statement from their solicitors only has amounts on it & does not say what any of the charges were for.Will they still provide me with an honest amount for my original exit fee other than what they actually charged me? I dont trust them at all.

Hi there My Heart goes out to you I dont know how Gmac get away with it? they are well known in the courts. I know this as i work above the court I was told by a lady who works for the courts.I got representation in court through housing needs. They were very helpfull. I am lucky though i got away from Gmac, It cost me approimatley 7k to get away from them in ERC & additional fees.But at least ive managed to keep my house, there is help out there:) I wish you all the luck in the world.

Wow!!! What about the poor woman who had the reposession by Gmac. I hope that they have it coming to them lets just hope that this enables us all to start the ball rolling!!!

My account with them has been closed for about a year now. I'll wait & see if anything does come.

Hi All have decided to go firstley just for ERC & possibly charges following that if i feel brave enough. will prepare my letter this weekend & get it sent of on monday.I know already that Gmac have a really bad reputation with the courts as i work just above the court & sometimes go for a smoke with a woman who works there.The judges do not like them & know that they are only interested in taking whatever they can get. So maybe they are some who are on our side guys;)

Hello Everyone. Long time no speak to, been very busy with my teenage tare away. anyway thats another tale. Have not heard anything about my claim with the abbey for months now & it is due for hearing in court next tues on 13th feb,Went into the court today to see if they had heard anything, & yes they had. The defence has said they will not be attending the hearing as claim is now settled.Well it bloody well isn't i said. they have advised me that i should still attend the hearing which i will, nothing has come in the post & court was notified of this yesterday. Any tips at all for when i go in will be greatly appriciated.

Hello All Unison is mine & Would think that the would be interested as they do run their own welfare sheme for members with financial dificulties they could maybe team up with CAG & give their members T shirts.

Im just doing the spread sheet for charges applied by Gmac & with the erc the total of the claim comes to £7,150.64 should i do charges & erc seperatley or just do the claim as 1 total.Im not sure on this one any help would be greatley apprieciated.

Good news everyone managed to get my new mortgage completed:D . had to pay the shortfall though courtesy of capital 1 my cheque from them cleared just in time.Will now start the process of reclaiming back fees & redemption from Gmac. I know this one will be a fight but im willing to go all the way on this one just because thay made my life a misery for 12 Months. Wish me luck guys & dolls cos i think im gonna need it;-)

Just been talking to my broker & going through figures from Gmac & looks as though they may have charged me solicitors cost's twice for court appearences as they already added solicitors cost to my mortgage balance & then are charging me £1432.00 in soilicitors cost's on redemtion.

I have tried afew options.i really want to avoid using any credit card as ive just been refunded charges which has nearley cleared balances on a couple of them.Ive called unison as they were going to help me to fight Gmac & make a small contribution towards arrears.Ive asked my broker to fax details of mortgage to them & they might help me. I really want to get away from Gmac before they take my house & leave me & my kids with nothing. I feel sooo fed up today. :sad:

Just called the court Abbey have submitted their AQ & awaiting judge to look at it the court date.

I cant beleive my luck because of the excessive charges Gmac have applied to my account my new mortgage can't complete as there is an £800 shortfall.the charges were alot more than they originally told the solicitors.God i hate them.

Hi Sutee50. I went thorugh a broker who has put me with another adverse lender call victoria.But as long as i keep my nose clean for the 2 year period i should be ok to go back to a high street company.I cant wait to get stuck into Gmac they made my life a misery for the past 10 months.

I was talking to my brother last nite who quite often goes onto cefax money programme & he said that oft apparently have told abbey to start paying up! has anyone else seen anything about this??

Im just about to start my claim against GMAC They tried to reposses me twice but thankfully have found another mortgage & with the help of everyone on this website have managed to reduce my credit debt so will hopefully be able to go with a normal lender in 2 yrs time.have you had any luck with your claim against Gmac? Is it still ongoing? id be very interested to know. All the best Amanda X
