my son has to use oxygen now and his lungs will never heal his head would is horrible a huge scar and scars on his lips as well hes 35 this year

Hi my son was in our local hospital, they didnt give him antibiotics for 5 days for a chest infection after aspirating twice, this turned to pneumonia, he was then moved to ITU, where he was dieing, we were then taken into a room with his nurse and the head of ITU he told us that my son was neglected and more should have been done for him he said how sorry he was about this and that he may lose his job because of what he has told us, he then said he wanted to air lift my son (something that was never done from this hospital), to a london specialist hospital as my sons lungs had failed his kidneys had failed and his liver WAS failing, he was flown to london where he remained in ITU for 7 weeks fighting for his life, when he was well enough he was transfered back to our local hospital where again we were taken in the same room with the same doctor he told us the conversation we had with him admitting the neglect had gone missing, we asked how my sons head had got like it did he said something went seriosuly wrong but went on to something else and we still cant find out what went wrong even today, we took this up with a very good solicitor and she got a report back which said " they had lost his notes from ITU, so what do we do now as the solicitor said there is no case with out NOTES

forgot to mention at the time my son was sedated and paralised so he couldnt move an inch

when my son was seriosly ill last year and the hospital dropped him as he has a huge scar over his head now but when we got a solicitor onto it and an inquiry has come back they said they had no notes to say how my sons head injury had happened in hospital and his notes for ITU have gone missing, what can a solicitor do now, we know they did something wrong we took pic of him the day before in ITU then the next day we took more only this time with a huge black thing and a swollen face in our pics so they did do something wrong they actually admitted they did then retracted it and said the convo we had with them had been lost the solicitor said with no notes as evidence we havent got a case but my son has a massive scar across his eye now

no she hasnt shon us any letters she has sent to the hospital the document that came back liablilty & causation report we asked to see it she said no you cant it has nothing to do with you but we have the document now it came in by an email we are not supposed to see this but her secretary sent it by mistake

he was put in the prone position for over 20 hours when they turned back supine his whole head was swollen and a massive black thing over his eye now after 6 monthes he has a massive scar his lip was slit into as well it was horrible to see it all my hubby had a stroke at his bedside when he saw our son in this state and all because of a chest infection

no doctor did nothing for us we decided to get a solicitor involved because the hospital admitted neglect then took the document out about where he admitted it was neglect, this is all neglect and hospitals cannot get away with it, we were taken into a room and spoken to be the top ITU doctor where he said how sorry he was that things were not done for my son and the hospital had let him down then he says he never said it

this is what the report says on my son done by Liability causation report no nursing documentation relatedto my sons stay ITU no documentation that indentities, the pressure sores on his head, no waterlow assesment been implemented while my son was in ITU and if it wasnt implemented then it poor practice and neglect

the qualified nurses report on behalf of the our solicitor also said NO waterlow implements were in place while my son was in ITU

she deals with clinical neglect, but on her nurses report the hospital said they have no nursing documents of my son being in ITU

my son was neglected in hospital he went in with a chest infection left with no antibiotics for 5 days his lungs failed kidneys failed he had a dnr do not resusitate on him and we were told he was going to die with in hours, then a top doctor came to see us he admitted this was neglect to my son and he had him flown to a london heart and lung hospital he was put on ECMO and remianed dieing for 7 weeks, in this time the london hospital took a swab my son had swineflu and the local hospital did nothing about this, my son now has lung failure, we have got a solicitor but after 5 monthes they wrote yesterday to say there was no neglect in the hospital but we received a document from the solicitors un beknowing to the solictor that said my sons notes went missing all the time he was in ITU
