Ok, this arrived yesterday and I suppose I just want a bit of reasurrance really that it is ok just to carry on and ignore them as I know that they will start to be very persistent or shall I send them a letter?. Can they really confirm my occupancy at my address with a major public utility as they state at the bottom of the letter?
Many thanks for all your continued help

Thank you count orlok for your reply. I have redone the letter thru photobucket so hopefully it is easier to read.

Hi, after what seems quite a long silence regarding BLS I received this letter from Moorcroft Debt Recovery Limited. I would really appreciate some advice on my next move as I am getting a wee bit scared with the words pre court and intended litigation. I would also say that there is PPI in this loan but looking back I did not ever want it (just thought I would mention it!)
Many thanks in advance

Ok thank you, but should I speak to BLS when they phone me? will they really not take me to court?

Hi poker_mad,
I have been following anything to do with BLS and SCM as I am going through the same thing. However I don't know if i have the stomach for it! Bls keep phoning me and i have sent letters off but they can not produce the original agreement. SCM sent me a letter basically saying that they will issue court proceedings against me if I don't pay the balnce within 7 days (that was on 2nd Aug) They left a message with my hubby and said they would be phoning tomorrow. I don't know whether to just offer them a small monthly payment or just hang it out but I don't think I have the 'balls' I really don't want to go to court. Nice result by the way

Hi, I sent BLS another letter as suggested and I received a few I must phone BLS imediately letters and a few repeats of letters they sent at the beginning. However today I have received a letter from SCM solicitors saying that I am required to pay the balance within 7 days to avoid court proceedings against me. They have given me a phone number to call as they may be able to come to an amicable agreement.
I am now pretty scared about the possibilty of going to court, would that happen if I don't call? I really don't know what to do now.
Any advice would be so gratefully received.
Thanks.

Hi, I have now received another letter thats says "It is essential that you telephone BLS Collections on 0845 600 3238 TODAY"
I won't be phoning but wondered if I need to do anything or just wait for the next installment? Is there another letter I need to send or do I just sit it out?
Thanks
-
Hi hidebait, would you be able to keep me informed of how you are going with BLS please as it is interesting to see how other people go on with them. Did you get a lot of letters in the beginning?
-
Ok, I'll sit it out and wait.
Thanks cerberusalert

Hi,
I sent the letter as suggested by cerberusalert and I have received a very short reply simply saying " It is essential that you telephone BLS Collections on 0845 600 3238 TODAY"
Needless to say I haven't phoned them and am wondering what my next move should be please?
Many thanks for your continued help.

Ok that's great I will put that in the post and see what I get back. I will then be back on here with the next installment.
Thank you so much one and all

Hi, yes that's really all I got! I am just re-doing my link for the letters as I am going to page 2 on, although there's nothing much on it, I am also going to edit a couple of things out that was suggested to me.....
Thanks for your help and is there a draft letter for me to send?
Thanks again

Hi, I have now received some correspondence from BLS after I sent them a CCA letter, I also enclosed a £1 postal order which they have taken as a payment toward my loan. I have put a copy of the letter on this link, hope it looks ok and you can read it, if you click on the letter it should zoom in.
Any further advice would be very welcome as I am not sure what steps to take now.
Many thanks

I am just about to do my CCA letter to BLS collections after getting some really great advice off here. I have been give a template letter but have read a few threads about s77/78 and am not sure whether I should put it in, some say yes some say no.
If I use it will it cause me any problems? I have done a bit of research and to be honest I am getting a bit baffled by conflicting advice.....
Just a bit worried that by using or not using I may get it wrong.
Thanks so much

I got a ticket from parking eye whilst at Argos back in May 2009. I ignored it completely then I got another demand with a poor quality photo of my car with timings, I ignored it and then I got a letter from CCS Collections demanding £110 (same address as Parking Eye), this was on 25 June 2009, guess what I ignored it and I haven't heard a dicky bird since. Send no letters and make no phone calls, just ignore them and they go away!!

Hi again, I don't know if any of this will help me but I have had a root about and have found all (I think) of the original documentation relating to my loans, some dating as far back as 1996. A very interesting point here is that they have put a cross in the optional loan repayment protection box, something that I don't remember requesting as we had other plans in place and also considered our employment to be of a safe nature and not a job that would become redundant (true) as we are still employed by the same company.....could this help my cause?
-
Ok, thank you very much for your help and I will let you know what happens.
-
I only have one account number though and it looks like they have lumped it all together as one amount due, will this matter at all?
Thanks
-
Ok, thank you. So do I send 3 separate postal orders if I think it is for 3 different loans?
No I have not received any 'Default Notices' or 'Termination Notices'
-
Hubby seems to think it is less than 30k but to be honest we can't remember, it was two loans of 13k I think and that was on top of a small loan.
They have not obtained a CCJ against me.
Thanks
-
Hi DebT,
What was the original amount of the loan?
Think it was around £30K
Who was it originally with?
Lloyds bank
Was it assigned to BLS Collections or are they simply an appointed collection agent?
Not sure exactly what you mean but I think it was assigned to them
Do you own your own home?
Yes

Many thanks indeed cerberusalert, at least I have something to start with as I wasn't sure how to do it, much appreciated. I will be back on here in the future with their response.
Thanks again,

Hi, I have made a few posts on here about BLS and the fact that my debt has now been passed to this lot. I have started a new thread as I thought it may get a few replies hopefully. This is my original post
