I sent PPI form off to Lloyd's first class this morning. Now should I write to bwlegal today simply saying that I am in dispute with Lloyd's for the amount owed and post it tomorrow? Or do I need a specific letter? I will also be contacting my DMP company and telling them about this issue I now have. Any advice greatly appreciated as I know the clock is ticking.
Thank you

I have just completed the PPI consumer questionnaire that I got from the FOS website and will be sending it off to Lloyd's PPI customer services BX1 1LT tomorrow. I will then be contacting bwlegal tomorrow. Is there a draft letter to tell them I am disputing the amount owed or do I just write basically telling them I am disputing it?
Thank you

Ok many thanks, I'm on it as I type this.
Many thanks

Ok many thanks I will get PPI letter sorted and sent tomorrow, should I mention the rough figures that ims21 calculated or just leave figures out?, I'm presuming I just send it to Lloyd's head office?. Is there a special letter I need to send to bwlegal? And I will contact payplan and tell them about this. I feel so stupid, I wish I had dealt with it earlier instead of burying my head in the sand.
Thank you

Hi,
So I need to send the PPI letter to Lloyd's first off. I have received letters to say that the debt has been sold on but I can't remember if I ever received a default notice, which to be fair I suppose I probably did. I have not received any statements or notice of arrears lately that I can remember. Am I right in saying that I need to contact bwlegal as I have 18 days from when the notice was served. I will wait until someone contacts me about writing to them. Do you think that I should also tell my DMP company which is payplan that I now have this to deal with and would they help me negotiate a payment plan with bwlegal?
Thank you

Good morning and thank you very much for your hard work. My next question is where do I go from here? What letters do I use and do I send them to bwlegal. If the PPI claim is successful and the amount owed is reduced I would like to consider making them a small monthly payment.
Thank you once again

That's ok, I just appreciate your help.

The £174.87 is 1/3/96
£139.84 I think must be the second one but I can't find a date
£168.18 is 30/6/97
£356.37 is 20/8/98
Hope this helps

Unfortunately I can't find any bank statements prior to 1999. I have found statements showing payments to BLS that date from March 2000 and the last payment I can find that I have paid to BLS was June 2009. Will these be any good?
Thank you

I'm not sure if I have, I remember seeing a load of old Lloyd's bank statements a while back but I have so much stuff in the loft. I'll have another look.

Hi ims21, unbelievably I have found a load of bank statements dating back to 2000 and a few years after that that show I was making payments each month to BLS collections with regard to the Lloyd's loan! will these suffice?
Thank you
-
Hi, I don't think I do. I will have a look in the loft as I have kept some old bank statements but it's a long shot. I'll get back to you as soon as I can thanks.

I just appreciate all the help that you all offer on here, it's a fantastic site and it's great that people are willing to sacrifice their own precious time to help others such as myself.

Fantastic, thank you so much

Ok many thanks, will I be able to get all the templates or a rough idea what to put in my letter or email to bwlegal? I will await for someone to advise me.
Thank you

Good morning, I would really appreciate some advice today so that I can get any correspondence that I need to write sent off tomorrow. Do you think I have grounds to claim back PPI even though the loans are so old? If I write to claim, who do I write to and will it give me some breathing space from bwlegal? I am thinking of going down the line of hopefully claiming PPI charges back therefore reducing the debt and then making an offer of a small monthly payment as I don't think I can carry on with this hanging over me anymore. As I am in a DMP with payplan for other debt shall I now contact them and mention this and do you think they will be able to negotiate for me?
Thank you

Hello, hope I've done it right. I have noticed that I have the customer copy and the original copy for the larger loan, is there any reason why I should have the original copy with my signature and also the signature of the bank employee? Do you think I will be able to claim PPI charges back to reduce the amount and then make them a monthly payment?
Thank you

Hi citizenB, so shall I just leave the ppi figures on then rather than take every thing off or shall I leave all the figures on?
Thank you

When I post scans of my credit agreements as well as taking out personal details do I need to take out the amounts or do I leave in?
Thank you
-
Good morning citizenB and to all that are following my post,
I have found all the paperwork that is relevant to my loans, there are several credit agreements as it looks like I have consolidated my loans. The PPI box is clearly marked as yes and the paperwork is in very good condition so should scan up well. I am not sure if I can remember how to upload but I will have a go and post back on here and await your fabulous help.
Many thanks,

Fantastic, thank you so much citizenB, think I might sleep better than I originally thought now!

Ok that's great. Yes I think I have the original agreement somewhere but it might need some digging out. I will have a look tomorrow as I will soon be off to bed after a long day and then I'll scan it and post it on here. Will I still be able to claim PPI back after so long?
Thank you

Hi ciitizenB, thank you for your reply. I took the loan out probably back in 1996/7 and then I defaulted a few years later and was paying BLS collections around £70 per month, I then stupidly stopped paying as I couldn't afford it and it spiraled out of control. I sent various letters that I used from here and sent a £1 postal order which they took off the debt but did not produce what I requested. They added PPI at the time I took the loan and I did not ask for this, I did write querying the PPI but I have received no response. I have sent letters disputing the loan but never received any replies and really I suppose my only beef should be the fact that they added PPI not that I owe the money. As this has been ongoing for a few years now I don't know whether just to make a monthly offer but not sure what is a reasonable amount and my DMP does not include this loan which in hindsight I wish it did.
Thanks you for your help.
