  1. IS YOUR CONTRACT WITH ADVENT BEEN SIGNED BY THE SALESPERSON BECAUSE I AM SURE THEY SAY NO SIGNITURE NO CONTRACT. IF NOT SIGNED TELL THEM YOU DIDN'T HAVE A CONTRACT SO END DATE DOES NOT APPLY.
  2. from my understandig the cag team are going to prepare a letter to send to bpf, is that right, or are they going to prepare a case against bpf, because i can not see bpf returnung our money without a fight. and as you know letters have done nothing to scare them into giving us students a refund. so far bpf does not admit that they are in the wrong infact they say they have fulfilled thier part of the bargain. i think its time for action now as a long time has passed without any of us getting what we paid for. if you or the cag team could post what action is going to be taken and what sort of % we have in getting a refund from it i will be happy to join in. thus having to irons in the fire so to speak.
  3. hi fuzzbutt at the moment nobody is paying a4rons solicitor untill he goes to court. at the moment he is looking at the contracts and is going to speak to a barrister to see how we stand for the refund.when he has the answers he will let everyone know that has contacted him the amount that has to be paid, so the more people that join the less you have to pay, if you do not like the price you do not have to go ahead with it you just drop out, no cost. sending letters to bpf quoting s75 and frustrated contracts seems to be falling on deaf ears as everyone on hear has found out. the only way to go is what they say in the contract you may sue us.
  4. you must be one of the lucky ones because when i asked for help on something i was not sure of the mentor e-mailed me back and told me to look it up on wikipedia.that was a great help and not only on one occassion but several. i think a few more students on hear have had the same.
  5. this is great news a4ron you have done a good job in getting the solicitor to act on our behalf. quite surprised only 11 of us took up the offer, can't see any other way to get our money back bpf might be laughing now but who laughs last laughs longest. come on you guys email the solicitor and laugh olong with us.
  6. just read a4rons post. i am one of the eleven and i think all of you should email the solicitor and join the fight. as a4ron says don't talk to computeach or bpf let the solicitor do the work. got more chance with him than on you own. at least you will know something is being down about the situation. any information that we get about ct can be sent to the solicitors which might help him make a cast iron case against bpf.
  7. just got this off of ct web site Flexible courses to suit you Our unique courses are designed to fit in with your lifestyle, so there are no fixed term times. You learn mainly at home in your own environment you're already comfortable with and are supported by our expert tutors via phone and email. When you're ready to attend a classroom session, you'll meet your tutor and fellow Computeach trainees. again i say why have people been given times to compleat?
  8. i am sure that the enrolment form is the contract between you and advent, as for the end date there should not be one as it is, work at your own pace, so why are people getting letters or phone calls to hurry you up to compleate the course? maybe this is another bit of amunition. ct have to let you continue at your own pace and not put time limits on you or ask you to pay any more money as you have an agreement with the amount you agreed to pay with the salesperson. if time limits are imposed upon us then its not like for like.
  9. have you got a copy of the terms and conditions of the bpf loan agreement, does it state that like for like will be found if advent go into administration? i am like a few on hear that have not got a copy. cannot remember if i was given one or not. i would have put it with all the other papers i have but cannot find it anywhere in the house.
  10. martin 3030 your posts are most interesting and you state above Most contracts will be legally binding and enforceable as soon as they are made. The supplier must deliver the goods or services mentioned in the contract and the customer must pay the purchase price. advent have not kept thier part of the bargain so therefore contract broken we should be entitled to money back under s75.
  11. has anyone recieved any details from computeach out lining the like for like contract yet? as someone pointed out earlier that dudley is not far from kidderminster fair enough do ct use prometric as the examiner as i was told by advent. you won't have to go far for your exams there is a prometric exam cetre just down the road from me, where have i got to go now if they don't? perhaps it won't matter with ct if they make the pass mark to high then i won't be going anywhere for a long time. we need to see what like for like is being offered.
  12. bluedo if i was you i would not pay another penny to bpf even if they took me to court, at least you would get your point across in court, and have 1000s of us behind you. have they stated that you would be breaking s75 like they did to me. even if you lost your unemployed so the judge wouldn't make you pay much back a month, then you pay one payment then no more untill they take you to court again and so on. can go on for years then if you move they will have no idea how to contact you for thier money. but i think a4rons solicitor will come up trumps.
  13. can somebody please tell me what computeach are getting out of this. seems strange to me that they have agreed to buy advent and take on another 10000 or so students. they pay all the exam fees so if they only paid once for everybody this amounts to approx £1,500000 if exams are £150 to take. they say they have bought advent but for how much. probably peanuts just to get bpf out of a jam. are bpf now financing computeach? surely we have an option to refuse computeach and get a refund if we want to and not be forced to have the new provider. this is what happens if you buy something, find that its not what it was surposed to be take it back, get offered something similar turn it down and get your refund. i have never been told by any company that we got you this so put up with it, allways got something better or my money back. so not happy with computeach, want my money back. simples
  14. computeach, don't make me laugh they were one of the first i disscounted when looking for a provider. they make the exam marks so high for a pass they just leave you hanging arround. found out that they want a 80% to 90% pass on the mocks before they allow you to take the real exam. just found out that with prometric the pass mark is 56%. whats their game, the longer you try to pass their mock the more frustrated you become and the more you pay untill you finally give up. money and time wasted. going to refuse computeach when the letter comes and let a4rons solicitor deal with it. can not see us losing the case. what bfp going to do if everyone refuses?
  15. that sounds like great news a4ron i for one will definetly send him my details and the more of us that do it the less it will cost us. about time we had someone on the side of the little guy against the giant. the more that join the bigger we get, no more little guy. well done a4ron
  16. quite agree i think it might be worth asking him on wed to find out what it would cost to take bpf to court. if it came to £3000 the more of us that go with it the less we would have to pay. 300 of us would only be a tenner each. hope thats how it would work. go for it A4RON'S
  17. hi guys just had a reply to the legal letter that i sent 2 weeks ago. its just another standard letter telling me they are sorry that i am complaining but keep on paying as i will break the terms of my credit agreement. what a joke, i paid in full on the due date and they could not be bothered to check my account. they say i can complain to the complaints department and tell them of my concerns, well if my concerns were not in the legal letter that was sent i do not know what they want. i wish i was paying then i would stop payment and let them take me to court. i am getting rearly annoyed now at the way they are treating all of us. telling me that i will break the terms of the agreement when thats exactly what they have done.
  18. i got the same 404 error. that news about hausfeld seems ok by me will email them tomorrow. lets bombard them with complaints that we have with bpf and see what happens. got nothing to lose but a lot to gain.
  19. hi bluedo is this a free service only, read most of the web page but didn't see anything about payment. if it is free then i suggest everyone conntact them, the more people that tell them what has happened to us, the more chance they will take up our case. we all need a bit of clout and if someone like hausfeld can give bpf a clip arround the ear for us we might see things start to happen. we are like the little people on our own trying to fight goliath so maybe hausfeld can be our david.
  20. great work bluedo this is another piece of ammunition against bpf for miss-selling as i posted before with the clause term 2 years.
  21. Seek legal advice from a solicitor or advice agency : Directgov - Do it online hi guys i am getting so fed up with barclays p.f. just treating us like we don't exsist and fobbing me off. still no reply to the uk legal letter i sent i wonder why. is it because they know the letter is correct and can't reply to it? well the link above is for legal aid and i should imagine most of us if not all can get it. maybe its time for action now instead of keep waiting for bpf to respond.
  22. thats ashame about the loss of jobs where do we go from here. seems like the pressures on and they are doing a runner. could be time now for court action, seems thats all they are going to understand. all our letters are probably in the bin. we need one solicitor to act for all. lets get them to court pronto. what yer say guys.
  23. just been reading my advent contract, read clause 10 to 10.1.1 on your contracts. i believe this is termination of the contract. if so why are b.p.f. argueing that the contract has not been broken? just checked my copy of the contract again and definatly no salesman signature. clause 2 to 2.1 no signature no contract. only 1 person has replied to my earlier question about the sig on the blue copy, has anyone else got a salesmans sig on thier copy?
