i can not believe i have been played like a fool, i have just gone into the advent training website and there is message on there saying that they knew before christmas that barclay will be pulling out of funding advent, i paid my fund on the 19th january and i was still in contact with the advisors firt Liam then sarah then their manager. no one had the decency to say that this was happening, if advent know this was happening they should have not kept me in the dark even after so many letters an email, Emma Dimmock told me that my complaint letter will be passed on to management and then she called asking for my brother details and this was a 2 weeks ago. after paying the money they just dissapeared even when i tried contacting them. i will be sueing barclays and taking them to court.

Hi guys, i am on the same boat, this have come to a shock to me, i paid over 6k for the course i was doing, i paid it off on in the middle of january,Emma Dimmock advent advisor got in contact with me on the 15th january regarding payments that was due on the 19th jan, i paid the amount off and a week later i receive a message from advent saying they have ceased trade, i feel i have been robbed, called all number that have been provided and message comes up us advisors are not available and the line goes dead. i called the consumers helpline, as i paid by credit card to find out what right i have and they asked me to provide them with administrator details, so i contacted Companies house and they said advent are not gone into liquidation. 2 days ago i receive a letter from barclays which they said that advent have ceased trade and they will be finding me a alternative training to complete my course, i find that un acceptable. i contacted barclay today and spoke to a advisor, they were very rude. the lady said we cannot get the money back i have to accept the course, they were very unhelpful, she wouldn't tell us who the administrator are and she also said that they have no alternative at the moment and they do not know how long it will take. i will be visiting my local Citizen Advice Bureau and also the trading standard, i will get legal advice. barclay can not force us to do a course we have not sign up for, if advent have ceased trade, barclays owe us our money back. please keep me informed if anyone have any further information.
