  1. I mean £500-550 is my currant monthly salary, and thats what its costing for starting the legal proceedings so its way too much for someone like me to even comprehend. I would if I could but I am holding on for CAG, Fuzzbutt and also possibly Watchdog to start kicking them in the rear. I am pretty broke and have a dependent. I am already in my overdraw this month and have no money to even get my wife a £20 gift. So I will have to wait till next pay day which is after her birthday to buy her something. So if I am struggling for £20 to buy a gift you can imagine that there are many more people in the same predicament. The Solicitors is a great idea for those who have a little on the side but for many here its a struggle and don't have much money. Most are trying to find another way to resolve this without having to pay more than they already have. I can understand where you are coming from, and I would spend that to get rid of all this mess, but its just not a option.
  2. I have faith in Fuzzbutt!!!!! We shall conquar those evil doers who cause us strife! I want to see them hit hard!
  3. If the facebook group has had a refund all ready then surely Barclays know they are in breach and should stop wasting everyones time.
  4. Fuzzbutt, Can you confirm you have received my email to sign up to this solicitor? Thanks
  5. I was told similar thing thats why I'm seriously stuffed now, I need to draw up a letter to barclays and I'm struggling but will put in all the points made her about the contract. I hope they will cancel the agreement as I am going to draw it up over this weekend and then send it via recorded delivery. Keep a copy and send it to the FO. Then see where it leads me, hopefully the reimbursement which is like 2k will help stabilize my financial crisis that this has caused. £80 a month may not seem alot but when I have so little to support myself and skipping meals to survive then it would get me at least 3 meals a day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. How I would enjoy not missing lunch every other day hmmmmmmm.
  6. I received a letter from computeach telling me I need to go to their site and then enter user ID and password they sent. To make sure the contact details for me are correct. I will be ignoring this and writing to Barclays but I need help drafting a letter. I reported via triangle but am waiting for a response. I understand it may take a few days because of the amount of people here. I'm just getting very nervous now.
  7. I've not signed up to any solicitors and can't afford one with wages scratching 500-550 per month and supporting my wife at the same time. This is becoming more of a struggle I don't think I don't think I can deal with much more stress anymore. Finance is becoming so tight. I wish I never believed the sales rep about new job in 8 weeks as this monthly direct debit could help us deeply with the food supplies as every second day we cut a meal out just to survive. I have not had my account frozen incase the increase the payments when they resume should we loose the fight and so I can't take that risk.
  8. I'm so stressed out over the whole situation, its effecting my performance in my job. I'm messing up simple things as all I can think about is the stress of this loan and not wanting to do this course with Computeach. These companies are bad for what they offer and they lie! I've been having so many quarells over this with my wife due to it placing us in a awkward situation as I only earn under £600 a month. I also have a attention disorder which makes doing the course rediculously harder, when I was told full on support will be given. Initially it was not and there is no way that Computach will have that many advisors to cope with the amount of calls and such received. I really hope I'm not stuck now with something I don't have the ability to complete and still paying 5k for nothing. They can just reimburse me what I've not yet received and I will be happy to have the rest deducted. I don't see why this is such a hard thing to do from BPF's point of view. They should just do it and get it over with. If this does go to court then I will be sueing them for stress and grievance this is causing me, doctors and psychiatrists letters to back evidence.
  9. wait wait wait hmmmm we signed for MCSE. 'Nearly' everyone in that time never got to MCSE stage during a two year time allocation. It says its possible but find a students that have? It will be as many as or less then I have digits on my hand out of 6000. Now considering this, and how the course is sold and designed I want evidence that it is achievable by real people that have done it and are fully qualified. The course is designed in a way where it can't be achieved with the material provided. Thus the quality of the material obviously does not meet standards. So this is unfair practice as people taking a alternative direct root would fair better. I don't care if it was achievable during the time, but its not for the majority of students. I was even told to go do my own research when it came to it and mock exams found that there where certain things not even covered in the materials I received. I've been stuck on this A+ for god knows over a year and I have a friend that did it easily on a 15 week course, of one day a week. Which also translated into 40 hours + 10 hours of home study. Thats a total of 50 hours. Means the quality of materials sucks with these companies and is a joke. I want my money back as the goods provided are below par and I know CT materials are going to be the same. If I paid 5k then I want a 5k service that is better then having to look up my own material as that was not part of the deal as all material should have been provided. Their own ex-employee's stating it will take over a year. A year for one qualification and thats only a A+? I'm going to have to take this whole thing down the route of seeking legal advice. This coupled with the lies the sales person fed me are starting to stack my defense. I want to see if I can compromise first with Barclays and will be sending a letter recorded mail tomorrow
  10. I just rang consumer direct. They have told me to write a letter to barclays outlining why the new provider is not suitable. But it is down to use to prove that they are not suitable. I have been told to write that I want a reply between 10-14 days. Then get back in touch with them.
  11. I don't computeach is any good from what I've read about them. Just another advent, that will take a four month course and turn it to a one year + course. Advent could extend the course period for a additional 2 years as per the terms of the enrolement form if you contacted them. With computeach I don't know and think they will want you to pay after 2 years for further material and support. But I'm not going to call them. Why should I? They all have my damn money! They should call me firstly and secondly as seen as this is our money they should be treating us like real customers and run to serve us. I only want a refund for part of the money I paid I don't want it all back. Thats fair right?
  12. I wonder if we need to sign a new contract in which case we would be entitled to a refund as the contract has been voided right? But if Advent have been baught out by computeach, then computeach would simply state its a change of ownership and thus the old deal stands. So I am assuming barclays went to them, said buy them out, we will give you the money. This makes it so the loopholes are covered. b*****ds!!!!! Is there anyway to get our money back now? I want to go with a local college which will provide the qualifications I want not what I was talked into, 'this is a one shot deal. You have to sign now as there little spaces and only 3 left.' I never wanted to do these particular coarses and all I wanted to do was a computer maintenance. I like making stuff and fixing stuff. I mean how relevant will those rubbish out dated qualifications be by the time we finish? It is a [problem], we where scammed originally as we where clueless, now again. Ignorance had led me to this mess, if I had sense I would have not said yes to it originally. I want to spend quality time with my kids not be stuck studying materials that take a year a time to pass one qualification. I can pass the same thing in 4 months in a class based environment with a up to date version of the qualification if Barclays gives me my money back.
  13. I want some solid information to refuse computeach as a provider and why they are unsuitable and go to the FO about this to have a strong argument against them. I already researched some local courses and for the field I want to enter in IT I only need a couple of solid qualifications which my local college offers. It costs me under 1k to take them both and I would rather do that then the MCSE which I signed due to being told this is a special offer with limited spaces and would definately gaurantee me a job which they will find me 6 to 8 months into the course.
  14. there is a section which states, under 6.2 of the contract 'we may assign our rights under this agreement to any person or company which is a bank or other financial institution' Does this mean they can easily out do us and keep the money by passing the contract to and fro? There by restarting the complaints procedure over again?
  15. What's with the insults? Listen we all have been done over, can you blame me for being skeptical. No offense was implied. People do take advantage of others in desperate situations, and thats sense
  16. I like . . . I like haha that last letter feels good. Time to put it into my own words and follow that template
  17. He/She does it for a living, meaning no payment no advice. 6000+ students, mean stacks of money. Why would they just tell you when they could make stacks of money of us?
  18. There is no way Barclays will release any money, they have too much to loose! Those money grubbers will hold on to it. So the money in other words that ridiculous interest pays out for those pensions more than like. In which case they will find another IT provider no matter what. They want you to pay that interest. It sad but I doubt we will get our money back. If we could organize a protest outside one of their banks then it would raise a eye of the public too. Only problem is most people work and not everyone would be able to attend. But there has to be someway that we can shame and pressure Barclays into releasing the money back to us, and save loss of face?
  19. Thats good news but, whats to say that BPF wont squish our chances of getting the money back by getting us a IT provider before then? I guess we can always hope but its nothing to get really excited about yet. None the less it still is promising something will be resolved by then.
  20. I am going to see what they can offer, and if their new IT provider does not offer me a guaranteed job they can forget it. Thats what I was promised, though I know Advent probably had no intention of doing so, it was still what I was told when signing, therefore Barclay's has to find me a similar set of terms. . . . . I am more or less gauranteed a job within my company as it is on the provisions I get my damn qualifications or at least a Comptia A+, therefore I just switch departments. Though it seems messed up as to when I am going to go for it as theres no mentor now to answer my questions :S
  21. Yeah they did guarantee me a job upon completion and help me to get it once I have gotten 8 months into the coarse, so I will be learning and working in the the IT industry at the same time. :S I have yet to get the first qualification a year down the line. If Barclay's offer a new IT provider they better get one that offers a job. I don't mind about anything else but I want work experience. Experience is what counts, no matter what a piece of paper says you can do.
  22. I've called barclay's and they told me they sent out correspondences to everyone and if we wanted a particular provider we have to send them the request in writing for them to consider. But they also stated to me when I asked, 'what if you can't find a alternative provider' I was told that each person would be looked into individually so I would assume it meant, how much service we had gotten will deduct from what they will pay out. Its just a assumption though, but I feel it may be the case :S I also signed that petition btw
