i keep reading these horror stories. My friend has gotten herself in sdame situation. i have put up a thread on here and hopefully some people can help. i want to go too one of those consumer programs. these companies pray on people in diffcult circumstances and then circle like vultures when the can't pay. If anyone wants to contact one of those comsumer prgrams let me know. i also saw a journalist on here. if you put 'quick quid journalist' into google it comes up first. i have just emailed it and hopefully i will get something back. id advise others too. all these companies lsiten to is bad publicity.

OK i heard you could get back your bank charges. let me expalin abbey bank have charged my twice for going over my overdraft. the first time i was like 2 pounds over. did not realise but paid it off and was back in credit. i phoned them the next month when a further £25 was deducted and they said that cos my overdraft limit was breached over a two month period (in reality only 5 days but between nov and dec) i had to pay twice. is there anyway of getting it back?

i just read thru these forums and what i have seen sickens me. I have a friend who is about to go thru what you guys seem to have had to endure. i started a post on the site but what you have said here seems to be good advice. Just shows you how much trouble you can find yourself with these companies. my friend is with quick quid and she has already start getting threats. its only been 3 weeks. these companies pray on people in diffcult circumstances and then circle likle vultures when they inevitable cant pay up. something needs to be done. thinking about tasking my fiends case to the CAB or better still one of thoese consumer programs. Was wondering if i could get some advice. A very good friend of mine has recently taken out a loan with the high interest money lender quick quid. Over Christmas, skint, she borrowed £300 for christmas presents and to help tie her over until pay day. She missed a payment one week after another debt was take direct debt. Since that point they have been hassling her almost relentlessly for the money. The repayments and interest are going thru the roof. Worse still she is getting constant hassle from them about paying it back. Without going into to much detail she has had some mental health issues and is not exactly well versed in dealing with these ruthless finicaers. I have offered to step into try and help but if i am honest i do not really know what to do. the threats have become much worse in the last week with one of the phone jockeys threatening to have the baliffs come take her kids christmas presents away. If anyone has got any soultions or any ideas on how to help they would be very much appreicated. If you have been thru this particularly if you live in London (where you might no of sympathetic mp's or councils or indeed institutions that could help then please message me on here.
