  1. KICK THEIR A***S whodini666 and the best of luck to you and hope you win your case!
  2. I can empathise with a lot of people on here for the treatment they have received by the ''men in black''. When I travelled without a ticket, there was another woman in the same situation as myself without a ticket. Reaching my destination I told the guy on the exit door I did not have a ticket but would willingly pay as there was no guard on the train to ask. When approaching the ticket window I noticed how the woman who travelled the same journey as me was allowed through but he challenged me. So I challenged as to why he had let the other woman in front of me go when I knew for a fact she had no ticket? Having a noticable accent he then went on to threaten me with a penalty fare. I asked what his problem was with me as I had offered to pay the fare at the window (which was another hurdle!) and was not looking to dodge my train fare? All he could resort to was that it was an offence to travel without a ticket! I stood my ground and argued he was discriminating against me because of what reason? He then ignored this and issued me to pay at the window. I went forward and then was confronted AGAIN with the same problem with the guy behind the counter who had stood and listened to the debate. Who then went on to repeat some of what the guard had said. I immediately asked " what was his problem ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS PAY FOR MY JOURNEY!" I paid for my ticket and went on my way, furious at the way I had been treated. Once home, I wrote a letter of complaint to Southern Railways and provided the POP (proof of payment) for my journey but was questioning why was the treatment I received so OFFENSIVE when I was willing to pay. SOUTHERN RAILWAYS ANSWER was to send me back a leaflet about £20 penalty fare. With a couple of lines stating the matter would be looked into and the guard dealt with by their own internal procedure. I was not convinced by this and knew it was dismissed to the bin. Hence to say that guard is still there today [and he pulls the blind every time he sees me!!!!] LOL!!!
  3. So much for 'spent' convictions as such! that bit on application forms that state rehabilitations act. Shows that anything with legal stance is LOGGED! Irrelevant of years passed by.
  4. I lost my appeal today 9 Oct 2009. Feel drained by whole process.
  5. thanks for reply Green Dollar. Yes followed everything by the book....but my appeal is just round the corner so to speak. If this fails is getting a solicitor who will take it on. Even beforehand, trying to find one was a nightmare as 'unemployed' can't get legal aid for area of Employment problems. So catch 22! would like to know the 'time limit' if any that it takes from reporting someone to the info. being on CRB check. Like is it done within a week a month or takes ages for it to happen? That is other worry! (Could be at a press of a button and procedure over!)
  6. Hiya cac1985, would you really want to work for a company who treats people like that? You say you got an unfair interview - ask yourself how fair would they be if you were working for them and any other problems arose? So maybe is not meant to be or you are better off without being employed by them. The qualities a person holds and their loyalty to a company is no longer considered these days. It is all about how much they can push you to the limits (and get away with it) and how many long hours or overtime you are willing to do. Irrespective if you have to look after family or not. It is coercion that an employee does overtime. Or you are frowned upon for doing only your normal hours of work.
  7. Hiya, I was sacked in early Sept 09. As I worked (nearly 2yrs) within a nursing home. I have gone through the disciplinary hearing and was sacked the same day....later in the day, over the telephone. As they could not come to a decision. I am now at the APPEALs stage. My concern is that the overall outcome my CRB check will be effected by it. I have never in my life, been through such a demeaning and miserable and stressful time. Is there anyway of 'appealing' against the decision that goes on a CRB check. I was falsely accused of swearing at a client in a room with another worker (who put the complaint in!) The event is complete fabrication on her part. Remove the 'story' she has made up and there is nothing to go on. But work have classed it as 'emotional abuse' which then is interpretated as 'at risk of harm' and anyone sacked by these means is to be reported to the secretary of state. An official government body. Losing my job is hard enough but to punish me for something I haven't done and a further 10yrs of my life is over the top! I am sick to the pit of my stomach with it all. I am under the doctor for tablets to keep me 'calm' as suffering with anxiety from it all. Any help/feedback is most welcome.
