  1. Thank you for the quick reply. I shall keep this updated if anything further happens.
  2. Received a letter from debt collection for £150. I apparently ignored previous requests for payments to a company called Excel Parking Services. I cannot recall any dealings with Excel in the past year or so. I did receive a ticket from Excel in 2009 for approx £120 and on advice from members of this forum I ignored it as it was a free car park and I was on the line or perhaps half a wheel was just over I cannot really remember. Reading around I find that a lot of people advise saying to ignore. However, there is a sticky that says we should not ignore. What should I do? Can they chase something 5 years later? If it does not relate to that can they skip straight to Debt Collection without first contacting me? If i contact them can it negatively impact me?
  3. AH i didnt think about that. How long do i have to inform the HMRC? I was told that because i was only working part time and not earning enough that i did not need to pay tax or for that matter need to register myself as self employed. This was from their own accountants.
  4. Would appriciate a reply if anyone knows the answer to it.
  5. hi thank you for the replies just wanted to inform you guys that i spoke to ACAS and they sent me to CAB who then sent me back to ACAS but neither were able to help since my employer had told me that i was self employed and i didnt get any pay slips or anything so just wondering do have a leg to stand on even tho i had no contract?
  6. I can't belive these companies exist, they should not be allowed to charge such extortinate rates! Cheers tho a bit of reassurance is what i needed!
  7. October 2008 I left my first job with Augest, September Invoice outstanding (ie they still owe me the money). Because of some personal problems i was unable to chase up the money owed to me but i feel i am well enough to continue my life and would like to claim the money that is owed to me, however, since it was over a year ago is it possible for me to still get the money? I know this sounds odd but there was never a contract as they kept "forgetting" to provide me one and because of the pay i kept working there i think i shot myself in the foot any help would be most welcome. Kind Regards Zaizen
  8. Wow! That was a quick reply. Yeh i was parked on the line i think the back may have been just over the line im not sure i was just shocked about getting a ticket! Thank you for your speedy replies. I shall ignore them but if they do persist i shall come back and see if i can get some more advice. Kind Regards Zaizen
  9. Hi, ive spent the better part of the afternoon scanning through the forums and im sure i know what the suggested course of action would be but i would like to make sure just in case. Basically i got my first traffic ticket today while parked in my local shopping centre car park, its free to park most people park incredibly odd but i parked on the lines of my bay and went to get my bread n banana's come back and I have a Parking Charge Notice from Excel Parking Services Limited. I rang up and complained that i was parked on the lines and they pointed me to the appeals procedure but i get the feeling that this would be a waste of time. Anyone direct me what to do? im assuming i should ignore them since i cant pay them anyway (life of a student)? PS apparently they filmed me... (so i doubt saying i was not the driver would work here) Thanks in advance Kind Regards Zaizen
