Will a default in my Credit card affect my house/mortgage?
kitkat768 replied to kitkat768's topic in General Debt Issues
Ive had the mortgage for 11months now. My work permit expired in Oct.... Ive always been a good payer, never had a default for the past 5 years its just this time I cant get a job coz of the work permit issue. I am stressed that the minimum payment am paying to Bcard is just going towards the interest hence Im asking advise whats the best course of action...thank you. -
Hi All...Here's my story... I have become jobless due to a my visa expiring. I am now in the process of applying for a new fiance visa and was advised by home office am not allowed to get any job. Since I cant get a job I have been using my credit card to live off (stupid but got no choice). My partner is not aware of this and dont want to add up to his own problems. I have now £10k in credit card debt, all from Barclaycard. I have my bank account with them too. If I default on them and offer a final settlement or payment plan will they be able to do anything about my mortgage(mortgage is less than a year)? what would be the best course of action? Im so tempted to just get it on default and wait for 6years(i know morally its wrong but these are banks we're talking about.. ...) I would appreciate any advice...thank you in advance.

Hello I have rented a room in a flat.It is being sub-let by the current tenant since he cant afford to pay for the rent on his own. It was a min of 6mos stay. When I moved in I asked the sub-letter to give me a contract for my stay. I paid him one month deposit and one month advance.I made him sign a receipt of the deposit I paid him. Due to work changes I have to move before end of contract. I informed my sub-letter 2months in advance while he was looking for my replacement.I even helped him advertise(at my own expense) online for us to get another tenant. When I moved out, he asked me if he can return my deposit back when a new tenant moves in.I agreed to him, just being considerate as well. I even agreed that instead of giving me back full deposit, he will retain some of it as compensation for the time he wasted not going to work just to meet up potential renters. Now he already got a new person renting the room. I asked him if he can give me back remaining of my deposit. He is now avoiding me.not answering my calls and messages. Do I have any legal right?

re Barclays financing has been cancelled
kitkat768 replied to kitkat768's topic in General Consumer Issues
My original agreement was a financing thru the company.then after a month they sent me a letter saying that they passed on my financing thru Barclays as they have a cheaper interest(cheaper by £5per month)... so, to answer you, they seemed to have sold my agreement with them to barclays. I didnt apply directly to Barclays therefore dont you think I am due for a refund of all the payments I have already paid them? -

Hello I have a financing agreement with Barclays to pay for a course with another company. i wasnt able to receive the agreed service and the company has now gone into administration and closed down. I made a complaint to barclays about it and after a few months of waiting, Barclays has decided to cancel the loan and deem the balance paid in full... my question is, can i still claim back from Barclays the amount I have already paid them? Thanks for your help...

How to Deal with credit agreement assigned to third party
kitkat768 replied to kitkat768's topic in General Debt Issues
ok..i was just able to find documents i got from TCA. originally, i have a credit agreement with TCA. then they sold it to clydesdale bank at 18% interest per annum. then TCA said they will transfer the agreement to Barclays since they have lower rate but as i was going thru it, Barclays rate is 19%...so im paying more. i guess this is also a strong reason for me to dispute the agreement...
