  1. I was assaulted several days ago and It was right in the high street. I been told by a friend that you need to make some kind of request with the local council to get a copy of the CCTV footage for a fee? how true is this and how to you find out how to make a request for the CCTV footage?
  2. only damage done in the 2 years of counseling i went through getting over the last time i was assaulted then this happens on the first day i decided to go back in to town in my own but no injury
  3. I was pushed over. which is common assault the police told me. I wanted the cctv footage i requested it and was denied. on their website they say they will allow people to get such public information at a charge of £15 which is £5 more then they are legally allowed to charge. On top of that none of the cctv is registered. I was told cctv had to be registered in places like shopping centers.
  4. Does it cost to get a solicitor or can you get legal aid? i am not employed
  5. This is kind of a vent/rant about debenhams I was assaulted by a security guard who works for debenhams i had my phone out i was sending a text and he looked at me walked over and said "do not take my picture" he flipped and he assaulted all caught on cctv. I went to the manager who is going to review the cctv and take up my complaint. how do you apply for a copy of the cctv footage at a shopping center and could you sue the company for what took place? He was in uniform yet this happened just outside of the door of debenhams so technically it was off of the debenhams premises in the shopping center. when the manager walked down the security guard saw standing there and i was telling the manager what had happened and the security guard got upset and tried to ban me from shopping at debenhams and asked me to leave but the manager soon put the security guard in his place. I want to make a example of the security guy mainly because if a customer had treated him that way the police would have been called and the person would have been taken to court. But when its the other way around they think they can get away with it I have been kicking up a stink about this all day. Two hours down the police station reporting the assault , then the letters i wrote to debenhams and the requests for the cctv footage with the shopping center. i could understand if i had done something wrong like shoplift or assault the officer but i was just using my phone. even if i was taking photos "which i was not" it is no cause for a security guard to act that way. I would think twice shopping at country square in ashford. The staff are snooty in next & debenhams , the security are offensive and why spend good money in there when the designer outlet is down the road and they treat the customers with respect
  6. I wont be doing it again but if i was going to get banned it would be for something else. Like a prank or snagging the security guys walkie talkie.
  7. I like taking the p. The times iv been in there and well been ticked off because of certain things. Like I go to buy one product they stop stocking it. I got to by another and they make it 100ml smaller and whack £1 on top of the price. I go to buy something and they price it up wrong or there is no price on it the list goes on. Some day i might get banned from tesco but big deal. There is Sainsburys ,aldi Atleast Aldi are not greedy. I dont see any basis in law for them banning someone for carrying their shopping in their pockets until they paid for it. I mean they dont ban people who eat their shopping while they walk around the store
  8. Any butchers etc must be better then tesco at any price. Why? because half the meat at tesco is not very user friendly meaning it is like leather. But local butchers Well rooks for one i go to and their meat rocks.
  9. Plus you can use the wayback machine on archive.org Which will let you view their website throught its past.
  10. I kinda had some fun with tesco's today. I believe the law says that your not stealing unles you leave the store without paying. So Today everything i wanted to buy i just put it stright in my pockets infront of the cctv I was walking around with my pockets full. Then i just went and paid for my stuff and reloaded the stuff in my pockets and off i went with the reciept. Sounds silly i know i just like to annoy tesco. Iv seen people eat and drink the stuff they buy before they buy it and then just pay using the empty wrapper. Makes me wonder how they can tell if your going to steal of your just pocking or eating the stuff until you pay for it or if you are going to snag it and run. Not that iv ever done that. I just like to tick the large guy at security off as a way of saying thanks for ripping me off
  11. Will you take erm cash if so i will print you some out. Rolf. Either that or maybe i will pay you back 1 silver coin a month.
  12. I remember seeing a documentry late night on fiver once about shoplifters and most of them got delt with by the police and let off with a warning. If they did it to much they got banned from the area. Not once did they get taken to court unless they got caught to many times then the police would get a cort order to have them stopped from going in to town between the opening hours of the shops. Then this whole RLP thing started. But you say with RLP you have no rights but under law no one can violate your human rights if they do it becomes criminal and personaly if i had dealings with RLP i would go after them for human rights violations. But saying that i have never had dealings with them because iv never shop lifted.
  13. I dont understnad much about Retail Loss Prevention. I understand that shops use it to try and recover money from people who have been accused of shoplifting. I would like to understand more about what happens to the people who get acused of shoplifting. From what i heard on the news/radio the shops are now trying to take people for money rather then call the police. It just sounds fishy. Its like they are trying to profit from crime. I dont see why the shops waste police and courts time with stuff like this they should deal with it but trying to obtain money from people its just wrong. Sorry for the rant but i am so against supermarkets and big chain stores because they came along they did small shops out of business then they dictated to the suppliers the prices that they will pay. The products in store get smaller but the prices rise and then they got insurance and i believe that they gain from shoplifters because i believe they write stuff off thats damaged when in fact its not damaged and then they want to hit people acused of shop lifting for costs. One firm on the high street i once worked for we arrived at work one morning and one of the members of stagg notices the broken windows and called the police they arrived did hardly anything. The people who broke in stold all the expensive perfume they could carry and most of it was left behind. The manager wrote the remaining perfume off as being damaged and then she sold it off cheap to the stuff on the hush. if the people who did it ever got caught i bet they would try and recover costs too. I just feel its a crazy world we live in
  14. I took out a t-mobile contract for mobile broadband at pc world i was given a free laptop and told that i could get coverage in my area. I had contacted t-mobile as soon as i found out that i could not get a signal at home but they gave me the run around and told me there was nothing they could do and after many calls they pointed the finger at pc world for giving me false area coverage information Pc world will not return the laptop and end the contract after x amount of days so i could not return the laptop and basicly after many more calls t-mobile turned around and said i am stuck with the contract with a service that i cant use because there is no signal and there is no plan from tmobile to extend the service to my area. So its costing me £35 a month for having broadband that i cant use. I refused to pay for it and then came the debt letters they then passed it on to a debt firm and i had a legal expert argue the case on my behalf and its been over a week and still theres been no contact from t-mobile or the debt collectors. I do not think they have a case as the contract was misrepresented which is a criminal offense. I am not sure who i am more angry with t-mobile or pcworld it seems that pc world will do anything to get a sale. From my experiance they have bad customer service skills and its no wonder that pc world are in trouble at the moment they might be the next retail company to lose their business like woolworths i know because i heard it straight from pc world staff that i know. As for t-mobile theya re most unhelpfull and every time you call them up you get a different story from the staff just giving you the run around and solving nothing. I dont see how they expect someone to pay for a servie they cant use.
  15. Yes it is. Everyone has the right to a basic quality of life. Not sure if you are on benefits or not but if you are you could get free legal help with the community law group and they should be able to help you. I know its too late now but never ever touch paypal not even with a 10foot poll. What you have basically done when you signed up is give them a free ticket to take any money from your account. First up if you can get your card stopped if you can report it as being lost they will block it and issue you with a new one then direct the bank to stop any direct debit with paypal because when you sign up what they do is setup direct debit to take any money from your bank. They are evil heartless people over at paypal. What you can also do is fight the bank charges and report the paypal transactions as fraud if they took money that you did not authorize them to do. The comunity law firm could help you with all of that and they are just 1 call away their details are listed on citizens advice website.
  16. I Has anyone else had aggressive treatment when trying to explain things to halifax it got to the point where it felt like they where interrogating me over why i had got in to position of having bank charges and when i told them i was having problems paying it back thats when they turned nasty and all aggressive. I cant understand why they are allowed to act this way.
  17. Before i became ill and started on benefits i had a arranged overdraft with the Halifax of £100 i had some problems paying my phone bill so i used £35 of that for the phone bill meanwhile i had a unauthorized amount of money taken out of my card by a french company that i had used online before they had made a 90euro charge to my card twice which forced my account in to a arranged overdraft i was forced to up the overdraft limit and also on top of that had banking charges. After reporting the transaction i had the money reversed after it was investigated by fraud department. I was off work ill and i cant get out of this phone contract and to cut a long story short i have about 8 bank charges. At Christmas i made a card purchase for some Christmas presents and now i am £500 over the arranged overdraft limit My debt was -£1000 half arranged the other half arranged. After Christmas i had a letter from the bank demanding repayment of the full sum of the overdraft plus banking charges and interest and it just keeps going up and up. Because i am out of work and on benefits i have to use my money to pay the rent and the bills and to feed myself and my pets. I had agreed too pay x amount too halifax each month and i could not make the payment because i had taken my pet to the vets and had to pay the vet bill. Since i missed the repayment they refused to let me pay anything until i make a statement of how much money i get in and goes out "not sure what its called" I am in a right mess and do not know what too do. This is my first bank account and iv never been in debt before. The lady on the phone from halifax told me that i am lucky they are letting make any payment plan. I do not know all my income and outgoing from my benefits but my outgoing roughly would be £95 a month for bills £400 for the rent £40 for the rabbits £100 a month payment off of my mums credit card as i am paying her back for my car because she agreed to put it on her credit card. £40 for Hire purchase Also there is food shopping to get as i have to eat. Now i am off of work i cant pay all of the above which is causing me to get deeper in to debt and i do not know what too do. I get roughly £460 a month and since its less then my outgoings i am in so much trouble. It wasn't until i got the letter demanding money from Halifax that i told them i was on benefits i did not know they would just out of the blue demand me to pay the full sum back just like that. I have assets like my computer but its on hire purchase so i cant tell that as its not mine. I have contacted the law firm for free legal help from legal aid to help make a declaration/statement of the money that i get in and goes out but when i fill that out and sign it they will see i do not have anything left each month to give off of the overdraft. What will happen to me. The law firm said that i can dispute all the banking charges but i will need to wait until the outcome of the banks court case over the high banking charges. I have approached halifax and the banking charges and they do not care and will not do anything about them. The law firm said that the banking charged should not be that high at £35 a throw but what can you do about it. Iv been so worried about the call i got from halifax and the letters that it went straight to my stomach and made me ill. There where quite nasty on the phone but when i was working they where more then too happy and nice to offer me all these overdraft increases.
