  1. Be interesting to know what comes back from the solicitors of theirs sparkie on these borrowings...few red faces I bet?
  2. I can't answer your question, but I saw my sister had a vanquis card and she showed me her file. In there was a letter telling her the rates had gone up to 54% That one's getting the bin!
  3. Please guys ...with all your singing I can't keep adding to my list: All account holders, please find the numbers..the pictures building, lets keep it going...
  4. If you offer £1000 as full and final on a £10,000 debt it sounds more than 10% - they might say 15% as that sounds better or 25%, but if you say you'll up it during the negotiations by £100 as that's making funds difficult to get that takes your offer to 11% their offer at 15% is already £400 higher - get the jist? Don't use %'s as negotiating tools - use money - it sounds more but isn't - gerrit?
  5. All this reminds me of a fellow who wanted to open a hot dog business and went to the bank for a loan " What have you got as collateral?" the manager asked - "not a sausage" said the man SC
  6. Can you enlarge upon that sunray...can you explain the difference and sparkie, where did you get that mezzanine word at this time of night? Sorry, trying to be serious for once...
  7. Ah, you see sunray that's the secret...pkelly's still looking for the buttons

  9. Yes you can pm Sparkie1723, pkelly or me but if you can just post it up here on the thread as nothing is confidential and pm boxes get filled. There's no point pm'ing sparkle72 with it as he already knows I need to know as many of these as I can from as many of you who can tell me too. Not everyone has these details as they pay by direct debit, but you can find out from your bank - they will tell you the recipient account. It is quite important -Thank you.
  10. A call to all Swift Account holders for information: Can you please tell us which bank account you pay your Swift payments into? Thanks
  11. Oh I think my mortgage has been securitised via Holmes Financing No 9 or thereabouts, but as Sue says it's probably ( if not definately) all legit and I won't start digressing into that as GR says..no I'll just keep watching and learning from you peeps...keep up the good work.
  12. I see Swift are getting into the Christmas spirit already then, halo's falling all over Arcadia House if they are trying to reduce their charges to look holier than thou....leopards and spots seem to cross my mind for some reason...
  13. You see, even EIE gets hot when we go off topic...if I dare go off topic on this thread Wonderwoman I'll be served up for lunch by the cagbotters....I'll try and lead you to a link on unenforceable agreements, but I just had the thought I could pull one over on my mortgage company...sorry EIE...
  14. Forgive me wonderwoman, but I have seen copies of a single deed document, but I don't recall ever seeing the original, perhaps as it was over 20 yrs ago since I moved in I missed it. I was just trying to see how what is being discussed here fitted in with what I had and the effect it would have if wrong...I'm too used to unenforceable agreements I guess I'll leave you to the technical stuff which I might say, looks hard and impressive to plough through.
  15. Hi GR, sorry to butt in on this, but if the mortgage deed is invalid what does that mean in laymans terms about the mortgage and ownership, liabilities under the mortgage? - Where might I find my original mortgage deed anyway?
  16. Well he'll be on his knees praying soon enough my friend - halleluja!
  17. Mr P might try and tell you he wasn't in the employ of Swift Group Legal Services at that time Sparkie, but he was at J.W.Godfrey who were Swifts in-house solicitors - he was promoted when it became SGLS at the end of 2007....baaad move! SC
  18. You ain't, but I know someone who likes to give a commentry on what's going on in the tidy little building with that nice fella Gore on the door
  19. That's what I like to hear Sparkie, a good fighting spirit backed up by the laws they choose not to use or understand...sounds like medal time . Doc, that is very useful - a must read. Thank you. Smarterthansomechick
  20. In my opinion - they don't 'do' debt collection. They wouldn't know how. Eastern counselling is referred to Swift collections team now, Eastern Counselling according to my source never existed, it was just a name to make them look efficient. We can see how successful that was!
