I also had quite bad experiences with Captial One. Some time ago I had problems with bad credit and did some enquiries for getting a credit card. I made the mistake to make and enquiry at Cap1 and they got me as I was pretty desperate at that time. To tell what happened would be to much for this thread (I guess I will open another one about that), but I definitely never want to deal with them again.

70 is really crazy! However, I don't think you have the best chances in claiming back the money, as I think you did something wrong - applying for the wrong visa/not knowing that you need another visa - I don't think it is the duty of the airline to inform you about that!

I would try to get the chargeback from the band and report the seller to eBay, give him a hell of a bad rating and try to warn other eBay buyers - I think there are some forums where you can also report [problematic]!

Prices are getting crazy at the moment. The funny thing is that everytime the oil price rises things get more expensive, but when it drops noone seems to care about it

A similar thing happened to a friend of mine and for him it was also no problem to cancel one of the trips. I am sure this will work for you too!

Usually Thomas Cook is a trusted and reputable company - it is a shame that things like that happen there too. Unluckily I don't know if you can do anything else about this issue. Hope someone else can help!

I have read about this too. It is quite scary that people can obtain so many pins with this device so quickly.
