I've not heard from them since I asked them whether there discount offer was an April fools joke! I had the same letter as post 262 dated 1st April 2009. Mines gone from my credit report now as it was defaulted in November 2005.

Hi, It appears to be almost too easy but i've got a £50.00 cheque from Barclays as Compensation and an apology for adding these incorrect defaults to my file and an assurance that they have now been removed! I wonder how many others they've done this to. I won't know until next month as I can't get another report from annual credit report until then!

Anybody know how i check my file in Spain as I had a Bank account out there with my Ex Wife. Should have been closed in 2003 but not sure? Possible she kept using it! What's the limitation period in Spain? Sorry to hijack this thread but it seemed related!

Early days, i'm expecting it to take a while, I'm not too worried how long it takes as I don't want to borrow any money. But i've had some silly insurance quotes over the years and when I queried them it was due to my credit file. So it's the knock on effects i'm trying to avoid. Still my file won't be clear until July so it's not going to have any effect until then.

In my Anger when I found this incorrect information I emailed the FOS as well, they've asked me for more details including the address I was at when I opened the accounts. So may be they've got a shortfall on there budget to make up and could do with some referral fees! Is it still £500.00? They certainly seem to have replied quickly!

Hello all my CAG friends, today was the day, all went uneventful in the end I agreed to settle by consent with small monthly installments. Went in to see the judge who I think was actually disappointed! Although I feel I could have won I really wanted to avoid a judgement and potential charging order. So rather then risk losing and potential costs i settled by Tomlin order. So kind of a Victory but also a loss. Mind you I gave them some sh*t along the way! Thank you especially to Andy. Thanks, Complaints gone to Barclaycard copied to the ICO. Also complained to the CRA'S informing them they've got false information displayed. Sent them all copies of the old EGG entries and Copies of the the false Barclaycard entries. When I discovered the false information the first thing I did was emailed the ICO, so they had a complaint before even Barclaycard.

Yes old ones not showing, new ones showing with new date name changed to barclaycard all other details the same.

Hi, I've gone a longway to avoid a CCJ from another DCA, as I wanted a cleaner credit file as all my defaults are gradually dissappearing. Just checked again today to find 2 Egg defaults have disappeared as they are over 6 years old. however Barclaycard have now shown them as defaulted 0n the 29th of November 2011! These are 2 egg credit cards disputed due to charges and PPI and Egg basicly gave up trying to collect. I have copies of the original egg entries which show the same amounts and opening dates but the default dates have changed. How do I challenge these? I emailed the ICO immediately with a complaint but what else can I do. My credit file would be clear in July if it wasn't for these 2 egg/barclaycard dates. Help please Thanks Jon

Hi, I need help again! The claim was stayed for negotiation, nothing really happened. Now i've come home from working away to find they've applied for summary Judgement and the hearing is on the 23rd of Jan. Got a big long witness statement with it, saying why my defence has no validity. All of which I can argue. Really this witness statement should have been sent as their resonse to my defence. But they've gone straight for summary Judgement. I've just got to try to delete the personal details and I'll post it on here. Help please.

As for the aq, its drafted this is what i've got so far A1, Yes, A2, yES, A3 Yes, 4 blank B LOCAL COURT C Yes, perhaps should add it must be noted however that the claimant has not even attempted to comply with pre action protocol D- DISPUTE FULL AMOUNT TRACK-FAST TRACK E TIME ??? PROPOSED DIRECTIONS YES, NOT AGREED I YES. hOPE THIS IS ALL OK? Now need to do tick box allocation/directions and prepare draft direction for disclosure/strike out if appropriate.
