  1. i have recently made token payments to natwest they were postal orders, 4 at £1.00 each to be divided between my accounts. this was expressed clearly in my letter

for some reason they have decided to pay all 4 of them into my student account (the only currently not defaulted on, as not due for any interest until this june). Why did they do this, i would have sent one postal order for £4.00 if this is what i wanted to happen saving me the 46p charge on each postal order!

    any ideas anyone?

sorry if i'm airy fairy around this forum just things pop up at different times! :)

  2. hi, been posting on here else where about various things.

Is it me or do MBNA seem to be the worst for harassment?

a friend of mine last year after going bankrupt was harassed by MBNA for months.

out of all my card companies, MBNA seem to be the ones most persistant. i did default with them a month before any of my other cards.

the call my mums landline at least once a day, she has said i dont live there, which i dont, my old work? from a year a go on a few ocassions and my mobile at least 3 times a day from first thing to last thing.

I havw wrote to them explaining that i am in the process of undergoing a DMp, but will take some time to set up, i have so far given them one token payment last week, which they have processed.

would just like anyones advice on this and any direct advise of how to deal with MBNA in particular.

    thanks:mad:

  3. even though i plan on entering a DMP, should go through by mid march, is it worth applying for my credit card charges back, i have had a few lat fees now since december.

sometimes i think its not worth the hassle and stress.

can someone paste a link for a relevant letter template?

  4. my partner has bad credit (ran away from a debt some time ago) he currently has no bank account which can prove difficult.

Can anyone recommend a bank which does a basic bank account with NO credit check or possibility of being found (if this exists)?

literally want one for wages and bills no extra bits.

    many thanks

  5. no i havent. what charges could i get back?

i have had late payment fees on most credit cards and then the obvious interest.

i have also had the odd bank charge going over overdraft and defaulting on my loan.

Another thing i would like to know if anyone can help, how long does it usually take for creditors to send your details to a debt collection agency?

i have missed MBNA payments since Dec, i have wrote to them all last week with token payments.

once the debt collection agency recieves my details how long do they give you before baliffs turn up?

My DMP will be sorted by mid march. Hoping i wont have the baliffs visit before then.

  6. the national debt refer you the a dmp mine will be under payplan.

this in not enforceable till i am at work, i start on the 26th feb. (i am looking at reducing my rent my moving into a smaller room, less rent) so this will then bring back up to just over £100 for my DMP.

thank you for advice from other sources.

  7. so there is a chance that my creditors may not be able to do this. i have debts with the following,

    barclaycard

    mbna

    tesco

Natwest (credit card, loan and 2 overdrafts).

    Capital one

Those silly borrow money for a month companies (who charge way too much interest if you do not pay on time)

    freemans catalogue

    littlewoods catalogue

    HFC financial

does anyone know of any of these not being able to provide the CCA?

  8. Hello, i have posted this in the general debt forum also.

I am getting in a mess. I owe just over £14,000. I have sought advice and trying to sort out a debt management plan.

However as i had been laid off work and currently waiting to start new employment on 26th February, this delays the process.

I am also worried that they want proof of wages, and i think my budget sheet may be a little inaccurate as to the amount i bring home a week (it is more than likely to be this amount, but worried may fall short some weeks). so i may just fall short of the dmp criteria of £100 a month left over.

I cannot afford to go bankrupt i'm literally living off nothing. I thought about an IVA but again this requires a fee and i owe slightly under £15,000.

With regards to bankruptcy, is it really so easy and straight forward? Seems like such an easy way out, but i really do want to pay back what i owe if there is some sort of way of doing so. What happens reagrding being listed in the local paper etc? I find this embarrasing.

I have wrote to my creditors explaining i am in the process of setting up a DMP, i gave them all small token payments. I am worried that the DMP may fall through.

Does anyone know of any organisation that accepts a slightly lower monthly amount of income to arrange a DMP? ( I'm currently going via National Debt). Or any advice on any other options would be great.

I just dont know who or what to turn to lately. Can't think straight. I have been diagnosed this week with Borderline Personality Disorder. So currently getting my head around that.

  9. hi

    all benefit avenues are covered.

i am in touch with the National Debt line who have said unless my monthly figure is at least £100 then they cannot offer a DMP.

with the figure they have now (with me stating more hours than contracted) i have 103.00 this will be far less though once i have proved my actual income.

    help!!
