Just recieved a letter from Barclays about my mortgage. Quote, Our Woolwich SVR will no longer be a managed rate ( a rate that we can set and can vary at any time) but will instead track B OF E base rate. The Woolwich SVR WILL BE CALCULATED ON THE b of e BASE RATE PLUS 4.49%. This does not change the current Woolwich SVR which remains at 4.99%. I need someone to explain this does this mean they are putting my mortgage up. I think the Bof E IS 0.5% AT THE MO. Plus their bit which i think is 2.49% i think.

I am posting this thread for a friend who is in the process of registering. He has massive charges of £2500 +, he has still got the letters saying that the situation is on hold. That the details of his claim is on hold, however he is still getting charged for unplanned overdraft fees and returned direct debit. Totalling about £144.71 this month again. His overdraft limit cannot be reviewed ontil the 3.11.2007.Can anyone tell me when the situation will be resolved through the courts, also are they legal in still putting the charges on?

Thanks for your comment Pin1 with you Micheal i seemed to have really ruffled your feathers, I appreciate all comments given and i hope like we all do that for every difficult situation there is a solution of some sort.
-
Curious Micheal have you ever worked for Tesco?
-
Now micheal the situation being that it would be nice to have a astaff car park that is monitored by some sort of cctv. As part of our staff benefits and not to be always just like a customer with a bit of consideration for our staff while on duty in our shift. Is that so unrealistic micheal
-
Mm not good is it but at the moment very miffed and very angry that i work for tesco and all this show you care by the management does not mean a thing. Perhaps they ought to do something with their billions of pounds they make and look after their staff a little better..
-
Already asked the security about cctv and where my car was parked the cameras are not able to see because the outside boarding obstructs the view of some of the car park. I feel very let down as an employee i wonder if the staff with the copmpany cars are treated the same. No way does tesco look after you.
-
However the duty of care does apply cos they supply us with lockers to put our bags in and cloakrooms to hang our coats in , but our most valuable commodity our cars they cannot. Also when the customers property is damaged in some while they tell the customers to get it fixed or cleaned and bring the bill into tesco and they will pay. So in other words they look after the customers more than there staff.

I work for Tesco but they do not have a private car park for staff cars. So we have to use the same car park as the one the customers use. Last Friday i wasa at work till 11 at night and live some 8 miles from the Tesco i work at. The next morning my partner went to check my oil and water in my car and found that i had deep scratches on all four doors and all frour wings. I complained the next day to the management that someone had done this to my car. on my shift the previous day. One manager asked me to get some quotes from repair specialists. However a week has gone by and the manager of thge store now says that we park there at our own risk. I need some help here anyone

Yes i am saying that i have had two barclaycards one has been closed for over a year. On this account the penalty charges were 44 they said they would pay up. But instead of sending me a cheque they put it on this closed account statement as a sale and then credited my existing barclaycard for the 44 . Still with me! But them they did not take the 44 as a sale off my closed one. They agreed that it could not have been a sale as i did not have a card anymore, But still putting late fees on it and over the limit charges. So now it stands at nearly 100.
-
Now this m is a teaser, I have a close on that account they paid me 44 in bank charges . However they put the 44 as a sale and i told them that they had made a mistake. However they are now charging me a late fee and a fee for going over my so called limit. However many times i ring up nothing happens. I have now got a letter saying that they are srending it to a debt collecting agency. I am not doing very well , this is a closed account and i have no card either. need help please.

Hi everyone had a devil of a job with marbles yhen suddenly they offered me 105 instead of 231 . Which i then sent a letter saying i would accept the part payment but go forward with the rest. Yesterday i got a letter saying that they will pay me the lot with interest and very sorry i was not satisfied, what a turn around. Also both barclaycard and post office have paid up
-
Have been refunded £44 on a old card but the other one which is still live they owe 216 they have offered me 83 and acepted it as part payment. When i was on the phone to them the other day i asked the man if they would be prepareed to pay more rather than have the hassle of court. He told me to send another letter the same place as before requesting the costs. Can anyone give me a link to a letter that asks for a mutually agreed settlement figure please.
-
Can i do the court form on line and how do i go about it please do i send a list of the charges

Having had 83 put into my account from Barclaycard, and sent them the letter accepting part payment and giving thewm 7 days to cough up the rest or else, Have recieved a letter today in duplicate that 83 was their final response and in other words read the Ombudsman leaflet they sent me saying i could complain to them, Also can anyone help me start a thread for Marbles as they are not offewring me anything even after going trough all the letters
-
The letter saying i will accept part payment but will continue for the full amount. Has anyone got a template of a letter as i might need it again
-
 Ihave recieved all the statements sent them the letter saying they owe me 256. I know this is only a small amount compared to some of you but the principle is the same. They said they would only pay 83. Accepted that but going ahead for the rest only sent that letter yesterday. Today i have recieved my statement and they have already put the 83 into my account. Why would they do that before i accepted that. Bit sneaky:confused:Any able to help why would they put the 83 into my account before i have accepted it.

Need some help here. Sent Cap 1 the letter requiring payment before court action they have offered me £88 instead of £236 saying they are confident their fees are both fair and legal. They say the OFT have said they are not obliged to refund and fees. They say they will not be refunding all the fees i have asked. In other words sign the settlement form and not to waste the courts time? Any ideas
