  1. They do but those signs are after the disabled bays. Am I expected to walk in the opposite direction to read t & c?
  2. Plus I can't apply for his blue badge. He has family that should be doing this but obviously they choose not to. I love my job . The pay is peanuts. Sometimes I wonder, if it's worth it.
  3. I would never park in a disabled bay when not necessary. I take a wheelchair client out and park at the other end of the carpark and push her to where we are going again because I don't have access to their blue badge and hope on the way back no one is parked next to me because I can't get her back in the car. The client in question freezes in middle of the roads. I could not put his or my safety in jeopardy. I am very willing tosee this ffurther.
  4. Yes the signs say blue badge holders only but for me to know this I'd have had to go out of my way to read a sign. As far as I'm aware , those signs at the end of each bay says ' disabled parking only' my client is in his 50 ' severe learning disabilities, and mobility issues. He's not capable of making decisions and therefore he doesn't know about any blue badge scheme but he's entitled to park there just the same as any registered disabled person. My job is made so difficult because of not having a blue badge, it's about time things changed.
  5. Ty. I really want to take UKPC to court on discrimination. Whether or not it costs me £500 I want to sue them on discriminating against a disabled person it's disgusting. I've proven he's disabled. That should be the end of the matter. But no, they want as much as possible. Not from me. UKPC deserve to be sued as well as POPLA. im so determined to get these nasty pl at court x whatever I win I will split between this fantastic service and a disability charity.
  6. Picture of main car park sign. The one which is showing the back of it is the first one with the terms and conditions on, that's my view as you drive in. There is one across the road but you definitely can't drive in and manage to read those t & c. The picture where I was parked and the sign to my right, which on the day I didn't see because of the van blocking it most likely. They are my view pics. My first sign I actually saw that I could actually read was the entrance one and the small one 'disabled parking ' at the bay. The one to the right is in the loading bay area.
  7. Thank you honeybee. I'm determined to beat them with this and I feel that strong I want to sue them for stress haha. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with this and POPLA obviously doesn't even look at the legalities
  8. Yes I panicked when I received it and just replied. I will go back to the carpark tomorrow and take pictures of the signs. Thanks for your input. I've been told by people 'just to pay it, it's not worth the stress' but I can't because I feel they have no right to fine me and they have breached the equality act 2010 by discriminating against a disabled person just because he doesn't have a blue badge, through no fault of his own
  9. Surely then if there is no such thing as the blue badge scheme on private land, they can't fine me fo not having one. I'm willing to go to court with this, if they can't officially fine for using a scheme that doesn't apply Thanks for sorting out the tthumbnails. Also I read that the t &c of parking should be readable from driving into the space or on leaving the car that was only achievable if I walked away from subway area to the loading area. Thanks anyhow for your assistance I'll hopefully hear from EB
  10. Thanks,i'll know for next time.I don't have a laptop and the phone and tablet just don't want to play
  11. I've sent the email to my daughter, so she can take off all personal details etc. Bare with me please. Ill upload asap I didn't even think it was enforceable on private land:-( Hi could you forward on your email please if I could send you the info that way, struggling to upload. Thanks
  12. I have an email that POPLA sent me with everything on so I'll try. Thank you
  13. Sorry if I'm not doing this right, not sure how I can upload things on my phone
  14. Parking charge sorry 26/11/2016 it was issued by UKPC at Onyx retail park, Wath upon Dearne. Issued at 12.15, first seen at 12.15
  15. Hi really need some advice, I'm a support worker to the disabled, I'd taken a client with learning disabilities and mobility out on a drive. My client needed the loo, I drove to the nearest place which happened to be on private land. The sign as you enter says. Private parking read terms and conditions. i drove straight to the disability bays. The little signs at the front of the bay just says disabled parking, I took him to the loo, came out to a penalty notice. I even spoke to the attendant and he could clearly see my client was disabled. I appealed it, they wanted to see a copy of his blue badge, well I then got told he didn't have one as he lived with his disabled elderly mum who has one, I sent them a copy of a letter from department of work and pensions stating he claims high rate disability and high rate mobility, they rejected it, the terms and conditions of parking are not displayed at these bays, I'd have had to walk away from the shop to read them. I could no way read these conditions whilst stood outside of the car. I appealed to POPLA, they too have rejected it, saying a sign is to the right, yes in the loading bay, not by the disability bays. hy would I walk over to the loading bay to read t&cs. Totally the opposite direction of where we were heading. They also have not even mentioned anything about my client actually being disabled. Because he has severe learning disabilities he's not capable of applying for a blue badge, and well if his family doesn't then I feel he's been discriminated against just for not having a blue badge. Anyone know where I stand now please, I'm expecting threatening court letters etc
  16. hi, its cjt, been on hols, how have you got on?
  17. Hi, You have to now write a letter stating that their charges are legally unfair, and that your require them to clear the account and repay you your total sum that you have overpaid, i didint ask fot interest i was just pleased they had done wot id asked. theres letters on this website you can copy and paste and alter to wot u need it to say.also make sure u add that the ccj to be rectified, as this is due to the unfair charges. make sure u copy the statement and send it with the letter (recorded), With the cca, dont worry bout it there just trying to scare u into backing down. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. keep at them, they have to reply to the s.a.r. keep me posted on how u do, when it comes its very easy to understand, add up all the charges and interest if u wish and then photocopy it and send it with a letter that states their charges have been unfair and u wish to claim em back. i would also claim back the cheques u av just sent em.
  19. Might be worth checking your online account with them, I hadnt heard anything, so decided to register and they had credited my account, all i did then was ring em up and ask for a cheque, and it arrived in no time!! keep at em !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. £200 missing from my mum and dads tessa acounts, what can they do? back in 2000 they transfered there tessas from the tsb to the nationwide. they recieved a letter stating that x amount had been transfered to the nationwide, 2 weeks later a letter arrived from nationwide stating that x amount had been put into tessas with them, only problem was that it was £200 short, because the amount transfered was a large amount they didnt notice at the time. It was only last month when there was trouble putting the interest in that the bank told them there was something wrong back in 2000. after comparng letters and statements it clearly shows -£200. no one knows where its gone. Does any1 think we can get it back
  21. At the end of the day the charges they charged u r legally unfair, did u send a £10 cheque and a S.A.R ? cos they have to reply to you. Also read as much info on them as u can, theres loads on here. Also ask them to send u their copy of the credit agreement cos as it states on numerous threads, no Signed copy no debt, n studio apparantly dont av signed copies. keep up wi it, dont give in.
  22. I Still owed £206 to studio, and had allready paid £190 of a £126 order, all that was made up of unfair charges. I rang them and they sent me a copy of all my transactions and charges. I sent a recorded letter to them asking them to wipe my account clean and to reimburse the £70 id paid over, again due to unfair charges. Havent heard owt back formally yet but when i checked mi online account it has gone from me owing them £206 to them crediting me £65 :) I Could ask them to send me a cheque instead but im just happy the account has been cleared. I will spend the £65 and neva use them again. Good luck they are very easy to deal with.
