  3. Does anyone have any Terms and conditions hidden away in a draw from 2001? Reading the Lloyds case this may or may not be important for the court bundle (which hopefully we will not need!)
  4. Had a similar problem with work and mobile numbers - dont know where they got them from. I demanded that both numbers be withdrawn from their system 2 weeks ago ( i had to speak to a supervisor) and that all future correspondance would only be dealt with in writing. So far i have heard nothing more from them. Worth a try!
  5. The knowledge on here is fantastic, i like the way that everyone helps, even thickies like myself. Hope fully one day i will be able to help someone. John

  10. Thanks Pinkdutchess, On the paragraph that says: I calculate that you have taken £xxxxx plus £XXX which you have charged me in overdraft interest for the sum which you have taken. Total £XXXXX. I am enclosing a copy of the schedule of the charges which I am claiming. What do i put after plus £xxx as i do not want to claim overdraft interest, just the 8% as or if it goes to the court stage? Thanks again
  11. Hi All, I am looking for a LBA letter, the only interest i wish to claim is the standard 8%. Sorry for asking a question which must have been asked a thousand times, can anyone point me in the direction of a LBA letter to cover this. Thanx in advance John
  12. Just read through the letter that they have sent me. The letter is dated 14th May. It starts by thanking me for my letter dated 02.05.07.... Then on the next page titled OUR PROMISE TO YOU... It states that they will try to resolve the matter within 48 hours of recieving the complanit, if they are unable to do so, they will acknowledge within 5 days with a letter... I wonder how it has taken them 12 days???
  13. Just recieved standard letter form IF dated 2nd May so they must have recieved by initail request. Time to send off the LBA me thinks!!
  14. Help.. Due to o/h made redundant bit behind with HSBC, they are offering me another managed loan to consolodate everything. Explained to the (not) nice guy that i was waiting for my statements from them (not his department...) and was going to claim charges back from them, he wished my luck (cheeky b'stard). Tried explaining that the managed loan was baiscally to cover their charges to me. Don't know what to do...
  15. Resent Prelim letter on Friday, rec'd by Halifax on Saturday morning! Let the countdown begin 14 days...
  16. The Bl@@dy post office have lost my recorded letter, its a pity we dont have a website that helps us claim against them! Prelim being resent today by special delivery, see if that works!!
  17. I would ring the Royal Mail to find out what has happened as you have paid for a premium service, they may be able to tell you more over the phone as the website is not always updated straight away.

  23. Just received my bank charges through the post today. Just to let everyone know, i rang IF on the standard number and asked for the information over the phone - they duly sent it within 2 weeks and with no charge... very nice of them! The charges come to £2859. i think i am in correct in saying that i now send the prelimary letter by recorded / registered post? Does anyone fancy holding my hand thru this so that i do not get things wrong? Would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance John
  24. Yes excellent. I am like many others, the managed loan was taken out due to all of the banks excessive charges. it was not explained to me that it would also have an adverse effect on my credit rating. I am fumin' at the way they have got away with this for so long... my time to get even is coming!!!!
  25. Will not have time for sleep - looking to Managed loan. I am spreading the word for other people to claim back what is rightfully theirs whilst i am waiting for my charges to come thru.
