  2. Hi john, I'm in the same boat, sent my prelim letter on the 30th of Jan, 1st class recorded delivery and still no info on the web, I just rang them and they said the same, no info and not guaranteed ! How long do you think we leave it before we send again ? Jon
  3. Thanks, that sounds good to me, will let you know how I get on. Jon
  4. Can anyone suggest how to resolve this please ???????
  5. Latest: Received the statements back from RBoS yesterday Sent prelim letter recorded delivery this morning (£2000) bring it on ! Jon
  6. Thanks for that, will send off. Still can't decide how to deal with the address change, the last bit of the SAR template letter says 'please note that the above address is the one which you normally use to communicate my private business to me and which you have hitherto found to be acceptable' this is not the case as she has changed address since she shut the account down. Do you think I should just say this is her new address and send a copy of the electoral role as proof ? Jon
  7. hello all, I've just started my own claim against the RBS, and am now doing the same for my girlfriend who used to be with Barclays, she left a year and a half ago because of the amount of charges she was getting. I am about to send off the SAR, but am struggling as she has changed address since she closed the account, how do I go about prooving she is who she says she is ??? Any advice/templates would be greatly appreciated.
  8. Sent my SAR off to RBS Edinburgh yesterday, I think my charges will be in the region of £1500, only wish I had known about this earlier. Will let everyone know my progress.
  9. Just joined, and still working out what I can claim, I have charges on my account for going over my agreed overdraft virtually every month, and it is the charge from the previous month that ususally causes it !, when I get my statement, the charge is a total of £40, made up of £28 maintenance fee, and a £12 fee, which is because the account is a royalties account. Should i highlight all these occurances, but only claim the £28 ?
