  1. Hi everyone, Recieved this reply back from the Halifax, thought u like to know what they said; Thank you for your communication regarding the charges applied to your account. I am sure you will appreciate that like other organisations we incur costs for administering you account for late/unpaid payment or overlimit situations. The Bank believes it is fair to pass these costs on to the accounts affected, rather than absorb them into other areas of our organisation, penalising all our other customers as a result. HBOS clearly outlines our charging policy in the Terms and Conditions that apply to your account. In addition we are committed to compling with the Banking Code, which sets out standards of good banking practice for banks and building societies follow when dealing with personal customers. In view of the above,I regret to advise I am unable to refund the charges in question as they were applied to your account as per your original agreement. I trust this clarifies the situation.Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our call centre bla bla bla What do u think ?Bog standard Letter before action next? :o BRING IT ON!

  14. Hi everyone, Here" an update, since last Tuesday 13 feb. Paid £5.oo directly to halifax, and asked for my statements for the last 6 years,Have recieved them today 20 feb,but only going back to march 2004. Have moved around alot in the last six years, but surely this shouldn"t be a problem. Spoke to Halifax over the phone again, and have been told to go into a main branch, with ID and they will sort it out. So im off to the bank again this week. Will i have to pay again,do you think? I think previous card going back was probably a halifax credit card?(reason they only sent me 2 half yrs of statements, not sure?Three kids and four moves in the last few years has frazzled my brain?) £676.OO SO FAR! IN CHARGES!!!!!!!
  15. :-| :-| Good Morning everyone. Iwent to my nearest branch of Halifax, and asked for six years of Bank statements. They acted very surprised,i even told them how much i had to pay!£5.00. Even more surprised when they said there was a huge backlog, and i would have to wait 4 to 5 weeks!!!Is this normal,or should i demand these statements, within a certain amount of days?
  16. Hello everyone, My first post today, slightly nervous.Have phoned my Bank up to ask for statements for the last 6 yrs and they have told me i must go into my BANK (HALIFAX).Pay £5 pound and no problem,so i will pop into the Bank Saturday and wait for my statements to arrive. Here"s hoping i can get some money back from the countless times they have charged me!
