  1. It looks like, according to DWP, I have this weird habit of moving next door every June. In fact I had the same problem last year (re: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?353455 ) I was expecting a payment this morning but it didn't show up on my account. So I called the Benefit Helpline and I was told that "another Authority" had notified a change of address and the computer had automatically suspended my payments. It looks like the postcode is the same but the street number is next door, which shares the same postcode. Exactly the same glitch that happened last year. I explained to the operator that I had the same problem last year and that my address is correct. She said that she would amend the details and I will receive the payment shortly and I shouldn't worry. However last year the same thing happened and then at the end they suspended my Housing Benefit too. I called the Council and asked them if there was a change in circumstances and the operator said that all was ok on their side. My questions: 1) Why do these things happens? And why at the same time of the year? 2) If the postcode is wrong (which it isn't) why is it wrong all at once? 3) If not the Council which other Authority could have triggered the change? 4) Is this a known glitch in the system or am I right in thinking this could be a trick of the DWP? Thanks
