  1. HI, Having trouble starting a new thread so had to use this one! Sent my SAR request to MBNA for my MBNA and Virgin CC's but still no reply. Sent it recorded so not sure what I should do?? Alos, got a letter from mint saying that they will repay me the difference between what they charged me and £12 which they say is what they are permitted to charge. Is this correct that they are allowed to 312 as I habent heard anything and thought it was just one of there tactics!! Finally, got a letter back from Capital One saying that they wont pay me anything as they beleive their charges are correct. Again, is this just one of their tactics to get out ofpaying me what is mine??? Please help as I want to send my next letter and read up again on preparing my case for court! Thanks!!
  2. Help!! I sent my SAR to numerous companies on the 21 Dec and whilst I have had my statements back from most of them. MBNA (Virgin) have still to send me my statements for both my MBNA and Virgin CC. This is after the 40 day deadline. What should I do next??? Help as I am anticipating these two CC have the highest charges on them!!
  3. Also, another quick question.... If you transfer a CC balance can you claim back your CC transfer fee??
  4. Help!!! Just reading up on how to calculate the interest owed to you on your charges by using the spreadsheets and I am a little confused!! Read that there are diferent options depending on what you are claiming back?!! My original understanding was to claim back 8% compound interest on all charges and that this would be claculated using the given spreadsheets!! Is it straightforward to use the spreadsheets and claim back all interest?? HELP!!!!
  5. HI, Sorry for the absence, so busy with year end at work!! Got my statements through from Natwest, seems I have apx 2k to claim so just need to calculate interst and get writing my next letter. How difficult is it to calculate the interest?? Got to say Natwest sent me the first set of statements in just over a week!! Then they set me an additional set of the same statements!!
  6. Hi and welcome!!! Yeah I am the same! Due to my salary being paid wrong this month I have had £504 in charges alone in this month! ( Natwest!) Went to see if they would help me but all I got was "we have new policies and procedures inplace for claiming back bank charges!!" Spend a few days reading the site, there is so much information out there! Have a look to see if ther is a RBoS forum, may be worth while joining and see what other people are doing in relation to RBoS. People are always willing to help! Good Luck
  7. Yeah it is a bit different to my original choice but that name had already gone!!! Thanks for all your help! Much appreciated Noodle!!! Ha
  8. No sorry! If I'd heard anything it would be posted here straight away!!! Panic over!!!
  9. Sorry wrong choice of words! I meant I hope I get them back in the future as oppossed to in time before anything changes!! Sorry, didnt mean to scare you!! Lx
  10. Yeah where has personal banking gone?! So much for the adverts "There is another way" There is another way and then there is Natwests way!!! My salary was paid into my bank in time the issue I had was that I was off sick and the date I was to return was after the cut off for payroll and as such they left my absence open until I had actually returned to work. Thus resulting in 4 additional days being taken off me as sick! HR have said they followed company policy and have done all they can as they did pay me what was owed, even if it was late!! Happy New Year!! Just hope I can get some charges back and have a nice long hol in the sun!! ha Lx
  11. What do you mean they guess your name all the time?? Well they shouldnt act in such unlawful ways then we wouldnt have to take action!! I gave them the opportunity to pay back my charges, they didnt take it! I just hope I can get them back in time!!
  12. Thanks I will do that! I'm in the process of getting my user name changed as the banks monitor the forums. Although I have already been told to follow the new policies and procedures!!! Ha Will PM you my new user name when I get it!! Its great being back at work, sat here reading the forums!! hehehe
  13. Thanks for the offer of help! No doubt I will be taking you up on it, when I finally get my statements!! I anticipate them taking the full 40 days before they send them to me.......33 days and counting! Lx
  14. Tell me about it!!! Wish I hadnt told them that I'd already sent my SAR's off but I was so annoyed!! Fingers crossed I have a lot of charges I can claim back!! I'll send them a post card from my holiday in the sun!! Ha Ha L
  15. My salary was paid incorrectly into my bank last month and due to that my direct debits were all out of sync etc. This led me to incur £304 in charges in this month!! Which is astonishing in any case but I dont normally have charges!! I was charge £76 for a direct debit of £13!!! Went down to my local branch yesterday to speak to them about it as I now dont have enough money for my mortgage!! Their response.....due to the number of people claiming their bank charges back we have new policies and procedures in place.....blah blah....new policies and procedures........ I was told no less than 9 times they have new policies and procedures!!! Needless to say I didnt get any of my charges returned and was told to write to head office to claim any charges back that I thought were unfair! "Unfair?" all of them were unfair!!! Bring on my statements!! I hope I have a lot to claim back from Natwest!!!
