  1. Excellent news, well done. You weren't to far from me in getting your claim. Looks as though smile have been consistent. Once again well done.
  2. If claiming Fee's you need to be aware that if you have a smilemore account the monthly charge will be included in this total. I didn't claim Fees as the total was just for my smilemore account.... maybe thats why smile settled with me so quickly in the hope i wouldn't claim fees, who knows.
  3. Smile had charged me for a direct debit they claimed they had to pay, then this took me overdrawn and they charged me for going overdrawn. So in total it was about £55. I phoned them up and there response was to phone later in the month when the overdrawn charges get debited from my account and they will correct the problem. Why couldn't they do it then???
  4. Checked my bank statement today and smile have deposited £590.50 into my account, the original amount claimed was for £607.57. I dont think I'll bother taking it further for the remaining £17.07, this may have been a valid charge at the time anyway. I am happy and can now final reduce my overdrafdt and switch to a standard smile account. Woooo Hoooooo
  5. I didn't claim for fees as this related to the charge for my SmileMore account. Shoul I have claimed for this as well??; if so it would give me an extra £270
  6. How's your claim coming along? I sent my letter roughly around the same time as you. I have just had confirmation of the 2nd Letter I sent them advising there are looking into the claim.
  7. WOW. I got an email from Smile a couple of days ago saying they have renewed my overdraft of £1020 on my SmileMore account for a further year. I will ensure I keep this email just in case Smile decide to revoke my overdraft once they realise I am claiming fees from them!!!
  8. 2nd Letter sent giving bank 2 weeks to respond. Received standard letter from smile saying they are sorry that I feel the nned to complain and that they are looking into the matter.
  9. Hi Nakered, I'll race you to see who gets their claim back first. I sent my letter on 18th December to Smile. The standard SAR letter. Thaks Andy
  10. Hi Everyone, I have just registered on this site today and will be attempting to claim money back from Smile probably in excess of £500. I have printed out my first S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) letter and will post recorded deliver on Monday 18th December. I am hopeful of getting this money back, especially after seeing other user posts. I'll keep you update on the progress.
