  2. Hi I sent the standard request for charges to be paid back letter (the same one as I previuosly sent) & i've got a letter back saying as I accepted settlement for this compiant in May they're not going to consider my new request & see that this is the same compliant. SHould I have been more specific with the dates on my new claim? any suggestions what I should do now as I signed a letter to confirm settlement of my previous compliant but this document doesn't say I won't ever claim again?! help Thanks
  3. Hi Has anybody got any advice on this for me? Thanks Scott
  4. Sorry not been online for a while. In case you've still not got your charges back I did everything in writing & they called me within a couple of weeks. Good Luck
  5. I recently used all the help on this site & claimed back my bank charges from the Halifax for the charges in the past 6 years. Unfortunately (I know i'm asking for trouble), I went over my overdraft once more (although I paid in the same day I went over my overdraft but they tell me this doesn't matter it has to be the day before). I've subsequently had to pay more charges. Can I claim these back also or should I just accept them because i've already claimed once before? Hopefully somebody can help me out Thanks Scott
  6. Thanks for that I'll go get em
  7. Hi I've just recently had a full refund from Halifax for charges on my current account. Do I just follow the same process with MBNA (ALso any other VISA for that matter)? Request last 6 years charges or statements using DPA letter? Request full refund or small claims action etc Thanks Scott
  8. A Halifax Customer Relations manager called me yesterday offering me a partial refund. I stated that I'd read up & the law as quoted in my letter said i was entitled the full amount. There's now a letter in the post (which had better arrive), for me to sign & they'll then transfer the funds into my account only £345 quid but it's better than nothing Was a lot easier than I thought no hassle at all Thanks everyone for this site when I get the funds i'll make a donation Scott
  9. You should read the FAQ section on the home page, it's very good good luck
  10. I requested a copy of my bank statements from teh Halifax over the standard number & then sent ame the std letter advising they could provide them for a £5 charge. I called them back & authorised the charge & my statements turn up about a week later. I called them on Monday to ask if they had a procedure for claiming back my charges or whether I had to send in a letter etc (hoping they'd just pay me back without the hassle ), and the guy I spoke to said rather than send a letter wait until June 1st & call them back as they've committed to the FSA to have a procedure on these charges by then. what should I do, wait & see or should I get the letter posted? Thanks in advance
