Hi all, I've just been going through different peoples versions of what to do and am still none the wiser. What are the exact charges i can claim? i've listed direct debit refusals & Unpaid cheques but can i add a monthly unauthorised overdraft charge. Please can someone also tell me what the interest thing is all about coz i dont understand! I went onto the calculator & it worked out the interest since the day of the charge for me, Do i include this with my letter? Thanks Doodee xxxxxxx

Hi, I have spent the last 5 hours going through as much as i can on this site. I think i know what to do first but all the intials & big words are so confusing aswell as scary! Please can someone tell me what the very first thing to do is? I am hoping to open up a new bank account this week so that when i start halifax cant shut my account down & get me into even more trouble. I really want the money back i'm owed & would love it all to arrive before xmas too.

if i were you i would seriously get some some legal advice on this. at the moment its your word against theirs! if you can try and remember dates and times and anything on the day in question that would prove you banked this money! good luck sweets
