Can I claim again?
howruimsteve replied to howruimsteve's topic in Halifax Bank and Bank of Scotland
just looking at my old letter templates, they don't seem so relevant, as i've done it before, should i say something like, "you are still charging me unfairly after my previous claim" ? Or if someone knows a fitting template i could use? Cheers. -

hi, advice needed quite urgently. basically i'm a new property owner and have to pay for a management company. the tune of £1000 a year. They do nothing to earn this and have just sent me a bill demanding £450 within the next 5 days or they'll go debt collection route costing me a further £125. They sent me a bill for £65 2 weeks ago and now this letter. I don't think i should pay them at all, they don't do a thing for me and can't justify the makings of the charge over the phone. A friend said that they tried charging him for garage upkeep in his breakdown. Since he lives next door to me in a flat with no garage it seems cheeky. So where do i stand? Can they demand money just like that?

O2 Contract Cancellation!
howruimsteve replied to howruimsteve's topic in Telecoms - mobile or fixed
hi, can anyone help. In november, i called o2 to cancel my phone contract as it was coming to an end. i recently noticed that they were still taking money from me and when i called, they said id agreed to a new 12 month contract from november. As far as i was aware i had cancelled it. Is there a way to stop this contract and get my money back as i did not start this new contract or sign anything. They also said that my place of birth was my security question which was their proof of me agreeing to a new contract?? Does this count as proof as i had a contract with them directly up until the date in question? PLEASE HELP!! -

just to let you know, halifax sent half my statements requested and then i allowed them 14 more days after the 40 days were up as a "goodwill gesture" and then i sent them a letter threatening reporting and stating my treatment. Recieved them a few days later with an apology. Ive now been settled £685 in full.

hey everyone, i'm new to this whole outlook on taking on the big banks. I heard about this through a friend and was interested. I decided i would make a stand when i recieved a letter from Halifax plc this morning informing me that i would incurr a £38 fee and an unauthorised overdraft fee of £29 all for goin £4.67 overdrawn, which happened through them allowing me to purchase something online using my debit card!!?? Where is the jutice in them luring me into being overdrawn and then punishing so harshly i asked myself? So here i am and here it starts! I would imagine over the last 4 years i probably have been charged £500 in fees. Not a substantial amount but enough. Just wondering how to send them the £10 fee for providing data on my account, any ideas?? Please email me on [email protected] with any advise on this. Thank you and good luck people!
