  2. Hi, some advice from you lot out there would be very very much appreciated I have sent the first subject access request letter to halifax yesterday (2/11/06) and recieved a reply today (3/11/06 - unbelievably quick for the Halifax!!) They are arranging to have copy staements sent to me for the last 6 years and 'in the interest of customer service' have returned my £10 chq to me..very generous!!! However, on the subject of 'manual intervent for specific transactions' they say that they are' under no statuatory obligation to record the information, thus are unable to comply with the request' Am not really sure where to go from here.......... Am I right in assuming that if they are under no obligation to record the information they would therefore find it difficult to prove that the charges are indeed accurate? not sure how to word this....any help would be very much appreciated. 3. Hi Mupster, I am interested in how you claim goes. I sent the 'data subject access' letter to the Halifax yesterday requesting info on the manual intervention etc and recieved a reply today (thats the fastest they have ever replied before!) stating that copy statements have ben ordered for past 6 years and they refunded my £10 chq 'in the interest of customer relations' but with regard to the manual intervention, they apparently are not ...and I quote....'under no statuatory obligation to record the information you require, thus are unable to comply with your request'. Not quite sure where to go from here...any ideas? regards cluert
