  2. Hi thanks for that, i've been trying to open the N1 form in PDF but it wont open for some reason, getting a bit frustrated, my final 14 days ran out on 31 july, going away tomorrow, just wondering if I can lodge my claim a week or 2 later than that date, I'm doing it the old fashioned way through my local county court
  3. hi wonder if you can help, I am filling in the N1 form, under the heading 'Brief details of claim' what did you put, thanks
  4. I,m not far off issuing proceedings, your case stand as true testament to what right and whats wrong, well done
  5. Letter from Stuart Higley from Borehamwood 12 July withdrawing the good will gesture of £448, going on about media coverage, and how the charges applied were properly due. they are dissapointed we are contemplating legal action, and to direct any legal procedings to their registered office in London, trying to fob us off me thinks !
  6. sending LBA 12 Jul 2006
  7. sent the request for the money, got the standard letter back saying fees were fair and in line with procedure, they offered £448 as a sweetener, wrote back saying wasnt prepared to accept their offer and that my letter clearly stated what I required, and that the 14 days for them to comply was up on 10/07/06. so now it's the letter before action
  8. sent the DPA non-compliance letter to John Cunnane (customer relations manager) HA HA! got a letter back with the missing statements, and a letter from Noreen King, another customer relations manager (thats where all the charges go, FAT SALARIES) here's the relevant extract; 'I understand that you also require information regarding manual intervention. Whilst we are aware that customers are being directed to ask for such information, this is not a standard banking term, and I would be grateful if you could clarify what you understand this to mean, in order for me to take forward your request'. obviously a stalling tactic, by saying we are aware that customers are being directed to ask for such information, they know exactly what it means. What about demanding the charges back without that information, or is it essential to have that evidence. thanks
  9. what happens if they don't deal with the DPA request within the 40 days
  10. has any body that has started action against natwest won and walked away with the money, cos we all seem to be at a similar stage, once they've paid one out, does that not set the precident. Also, it's a pity we couldn't get every customer started on action
  11. Posted my wifes DPA letter 29/3/06, received 3 and a half yrs worth of statements in the usual crappy brown envelope on 18/4/06, charges on these amounts to £2118. Rang John Cunnane at Borehamwood there and then to request the rest of the statements, and the statement of manual intervention, seems to me he knows they don't send all of the information requested, definite stalling tactic, or they employ complete PR--KS. If they can't follow a simple request for information, makes my blood boil, these highway men need shutting down. 'New chairman of natwest, DICK TURPIN'
  12. I sent a cheque with the request to the data protection manager in Edinburgh
  13. Posting the DPA request 28.03. 06, does the 40 days begin when you post it, or when they receive the DPA request, and is it 40 consecutive days or 40 working days
