  1. Hi there, I'm currently helping my dad claim back his charges with Lloyds after successfully claiming mine back from RBS! Ok, Lloyds have sent his requested charges. however half of them have come through as statements and the other half just a list of charges i.e. 01/04/03 account charge £10.00 01/05/03 account charge £10.00 Now my dad said he had a select account with these. I can see in 2001/2002 the select account charge was £4.00. Then in May 2002 it jumps up to £8.00 and then June 2004 its up to £10.00 per month. Can anyone else currently claiming from Lloyds help me! are these definitely select account charges or could they be something else?? The only reason I query it is because even at the moment the Select charge is only £7.00 per month!!! I'm confused!! Any help would be great (my dads no longer with Lloyds by the way) Many thanks in advance Lynzilou xxxx
  2. Hi guys, i wonder if you can help me - i've already had success with RBS and now taking on my dads lloyds tsb account. The have finally sent his statements - however some of them are in the form of lists of charges. I'm a little confused, where the charge is explained it doesnt tell you if it is the charge or the item - for example: 01.09.03 Account Fee £8.00 (i know we cant claim for this) 01.10.03 Unpaid direct debit £130.00 (is this the charge or the item that was unpaid? 03.11.03 Unpaid standing order £20.00 (again is this the charge or the item?) i'm assuming this is the item as its a lot of money to charge, i think there's even one for £240 or something.. so if this is the amount that was unpaid.. why didnt he get charged for this? i dont understand! has anyone else had these lists from Lloyds and can help me out? many thanks Lynzilou xxx
  3. Hiya love the nickname by the way! i used to LOVE racoons haha! no this is the just the charges (like the £18 and then £20)! they sent a letter saying that they have now lowered their charge down to £12 so they were willing to refund me £164.. ermmm NOPE! good luck with your claim! Lynzilou xx
  4. After a success with RBS i'm now going for £590 charges with Capital One! Read my progress below, i'll update it once i hear back from them!! Lynzilou xx
  5. Hi Matt! dont know if you remember me? i was posting alongside you in the RBS forums! Well i'm also doing Capital One now - sent off the SAR in November and then got a letter from them saying sorry you wish to close your account (the account was closed a long long time ago!)! think it was just a standard letter sent! anyway my hubby rang them and they said sorry etc etc and agreed to send the statements! so got the statements through, charges add up to £590. Sent prelim, got offer of £164. Sending rejection of offer tomorrow so hopefully we'll see what happens! yeah like the other poster said, check royal mail to see if the letter def got there, if it did then i would try ringing them again.. good luck! 10. hello! No probs! No i havent been yet, waiting for the postman here as he doesnt show his face until about 3/4pm! I dont know why I'm building my hopes up, the RBS will not be keeping to my timescales hehe! I'll let you know if I get any news today! Good luck with filing the claim hun (not that you'll need it!) xxx
  11. Hi hun, I was advised on this site the other week to use this address on the claim: Kay Stanbridge, Solicitor Group Litigation, RBS 1 Princes Street London EC2R 8PB Hope this helps, Lynzilou xxx
  12. hi Daver If you are writing to Mr McLean, his address is: Mr T McLean Customer Relations Unit Retail Support The Forthstone 56 South Gyle Crescent Edinburgh EH12 9LE Good luck (not that you'll need it) but give anyone a shout on here if it goes as far as filing your claim and we'll help you with the interest bit. Keep us updated! Lynzilou xx
  13. Hi Cheesy No nothing came in the post for me yesterday! Today is the last day I've given them to settle in full and if they did I would cancel my court claim. So we'll see if they respond. I'll of course let you all know when the postie comes today if there's anything for me!!! Have fun filing your claim Cheesy!! xxx
  14. Hi cheesy, Well I would be very strict with the deadlines. RBoS had until 25th Oct to refund me or I would file a claim. I received nothing on the 25th so filed my claim on 26th Oct. Would you believe it though I received an offer of £2685 on the 26th too! The post came after I filed the claim. But it didnt matter anyway as it wasnt the full amount! So its up to you - you might wanna just wait until the day after especially if you have to fork out for the court fees - its entirely up to you. Good luck, i'll let you know if i receive anything!! Lynz xx
  15. Yeah I think you're right Matt, maybe if we catch them in a good mood (which is probably not that often because of all claims they'll be receiving now!) then they'll pay up! Well I decided to ring my local branch yesterday as they have charged me YET AGAIN on Monday - £28.00 for going 2p overdrawn the other day and the money went into my account the very next morning grrrrr so I rang to see if they could refund it as I only have my child tax credits paid into my account each week so i'm left with hardly anything! She said she would ring the Edinburgh Cust Serv office as they're dealing with my claim! So she rang me back about 45 mins later and said she'd spoken to the Edinburgh office and they've said they're going to write to me anyway and include the £28 charge??? So that either means they're writing offering another amount which isnt the full amount or they're going to pay up!!!! My fingers are crossed of course that its the latter! Either that or they're writing to me saying they'll see me in court oh by the way here's the £28 you complained about the other day!!! I'll keep you updated once the postman's been! He doesnt come round til about 3pm here! Hope you are all doing ok with your claims too! Lynzi xxx
