I recentley had a letter from Moorcrofts looking for money not even owed to Powergen. Long story but breifly: I switched power supply away from Powergen, however Powergen continued to bill me for around 12 months after. I notified them of this. They sent me a cheque for the balance, and appologised for the mistake. Around 6 months later they sent me another bill ! I rang them and they once again appologiesed and said that their billing system for some reason keeps billimg me, and they would put a stop to it. 6 more months later I have received a letter from Moorcroft in a threatening manner for the money. I contacted Powergen, they have once again appologiesed and sent me a letter saying this would not happen again. I am some what annoyed about receiving a letter from a debt collecting agency that have no right to demand money that is not owed. Any suggestions from people who would like to get one back for the common man

Thanks Michael, read this but itd the Section E I'm not too sure about when it asks for expert witness. Do you include the sections on court bundles ie. Dunlop v .... etc. ? Rgds adeyk

Im reading the AQ approach on Proposed Directions. ( at this stage with Abbey ) AQ reads: F Proposed Directions ( parties should agree directions wherever possible ) Have you attached a list of the directions you think appropriate for the management of your claim? Yes / No If Yes, have they been agread with the other party(ies) Yes / No Okay, now, what if I contacted Abbey and informed them of the direction I was proposing and asked them if they agread ! Perhaps this would lead them to a settlemant ? What do you think ?
