  2. Blimey, you go away for a couple of days and look what happens!!! That is just brilliant that you're all going to get this moved on quickly and LOL that Tuesday is letter day!!! Still keeping everything crossed that you get it sorted by Christmas TP xxxxxx PS We got the letter yesterday saying our money had been paid into our account but I just noticed the Reference was XXXXXX/LETOUT - Ha! Ha! what does that mean I wonder????????????????????
  3. I have directed a friend over to here to reclaim her charges and when she tried to access an old HSBC account it turns out that it had been closed due to not being used for the past 2 years. I have told her that I am sure she can still claim back the charges for the previous 4 years - what do you think? I am right aren't I? Waiting and hoping TP xxxxx
  4. Just thought I'd pop back and say hello! I've been wondering how you're all getting on So, nothing from Mr HSBC in the post then? We had a local news story down here about a woman who took the high street bank to court and I was all AAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHH but it turned out she had got all her charges back and was trying to sue for distress - it got thrown out though Still watching for you all TP xxxxxxx
  5. FANTASTIC!!!!!!! Well done you and yes the site is AMAZING, I've been sending so many people over here too Congratulations again TP xxx
  6. Oh Babs I hope it goes sooooooooooooooooo quickly for you now. That means that you should get it sorted before Christmas - fingers crossed you do TP xxx
  7. Babs - unfortunately it has all been eaten up already in other debts and bills but I did have enough left to get a bottle of bubbly for Saturday night and it does mean that we can buy Christmas Presents from our current account and not on credit!! lol!! Come on HSBC - get those letters and settlements out so everyone can have a good Christmas TP xxxxxxx
  8. You definitely will!! And yes, I can't understand why it is so random, it makes no sense to me and it doesn't even seem to be done on the amount either But good luck to both of you, hopefully any day now that letter will come through the door TP xxxxxxx
  9. Hi preshnit! I claimed my charges back through HSBC so not sure how long Woolwich take. Good luck with it all and I know you'll get all the support you need on here and a bit more too Look forward to seeing how you get on TP (from tother side lol!) xxx
  10. Yes, I know what you mean but as you've filed and its been issued then technically you should be getting the money in time for christmas as long as they don't start playing silly beggars, which lets be honest with that amount they shouldn't but you know what HSBC are like It is a moral dilemma and I know it says everywhere not to settle but you know sometimes you've just got to go with what you feel is right if you see what I mean? But yes, will still be around, I think this site is fantastic and I've sent so many people over here and I really want to see how you and Jayne and Steve are doing - want to raise that glass of bubbly with you all TP xxxxx
  11. Just out of interest, would you settle for 90% Babs? Just wondering really as I know we should really go for the whole amount, but with Christmas coming up and three kids to buy for and we're trying to sell our house I don't think I've got the energy if you see what I mean TP xxxx
  12. I know what you mean - I've just received my settlement offer for 90% and we're accepting it but I think if you feel it is the principle, and at the end of the day that is why we're doing it, then go for it. Good luck with it all and here's to the full 100% TP xx
  13. Thank you!!!!! I can't stop smiling I am so, so, so happy I was really peed off with Mr TP for not getting the info yesterday so we couldn't file our MCOL last night and now look whats happened? I am so happy - dancingaroundsmilie needed here!!! I just hope that you get yours settled quickly too TP xxx
  14. Thank you Bong - they have just setttled 90% of our claim without going to MCOL and I am so pleased with that. I know I should go the whole way but to be honest with you I am more than chuffed with receiving this back so we're going to stick Thank you for your help TP xx
  15. Just got back to a letter from HSBC, all the usual guff - not our fault, you shouldn't have gone overdrawn, our charges are well publicised yadda yadda yadda BUT We are willing to settle with you now FOR 90% of my claim!!! :D I know I should go further and try to get the lot but to be quite honest I am so very, very happy to go with this and for the sake of £130 plus then the 8% I am going to stop here. So I've just been and bought a bottle of bubbly so if you'd like to raise a virtual glass to the Consumer Action Group! - cheers Good luck to all my fellow MCOLers too - lets hope the next post brings you good news too TP xxxxxxx PS Will make my donation as soon as I can - but thank you, thank you, thank you to this wonderful site
  16. Well the postie brought me something - go see my thread!!! TP xxxxxxxx
  17. Well if you get it back maybe we could all raise a glass of fizzy to celebrate? Shame, I wanted to go and see Richard and Judy though..... enjoy your bath Babs TP xxxx
  18. Good luck Steve!! Mr Tigerpants didn't get a chance to call about the date he opened his account today so we're not filing until tomorrow, but maybe we could act as a reminder to each other about when we should press buttons so to speak? Thanks everyone though, the support is great TP xxxxxx
  19. Hmmmm good customer service, that is a good one isn't it? If they have I dread to think of what everyone else is putting up with. I just want it all finished and done with don't you? TP xx
  20. FAB!!! Only thing is we'll all now be discussing what to wear when Steve is on Richard and Judy!! LOL!
  21. Thank you Zsazsa that is very helpful - I've cut and pasted it and we're going to go through it together to make sure that it is completely correct. I think it is really something that they are not even acknowledging the LBAs any more - I wonder how that sits with their internal complaints procedure? Thank you again TP xx
  22. Come on Steve we're all holding hands on this one to take a collective leap into what is the big vast unknown world of the Small Claims Court - eek!!! We are doing our MCOL tonight too so it'll be great to have yet another person going through it on the same timescales TP xx
  23. Babs you're a star - that link says continues at 8% until settled so that would be the amount on the spreadsheeet Thank you loads xx
  24. Sorry to be a bit of a hijacker here but could someone have a look at my thread and see if you could answer any of my questions PLEASE Sorry to be a bit needy but we're going to file tonight and I want to make sure it is completely correct Love the support on this thread - thanks loads
