  1. Thanks for the advice. I don't want pre-payment meters though, I'm paying enough as it is without being charged more for exactly the same juice.
  2. My direct debits have been £32 for the past year. I got a letter from them saying they're increasing to £122. I simply can't afford this amount. What should I do?
  3. He is lucky he isn't getting a case for constructive dismissal, he's aware of that after one of the other girls left 3 days before I did. Only she made it perfectly clear why she was leaving giving many of the reasons I've given above. He has an outside HR company contact her since 'he didn't know what he had done'. Anyway, she met with the HR and said there was no way she was going back and stated all the reasons why. I think it's about 1 days holiday pay, plus 2 days I worked upto my leaving date. This may not be a huge sum of money, but right now, to me, it's a kings randsom. It's getting late now, so I'll do an LBA tomorrow, that gives him another days grace.
  4. They have a bank of temps anyway, plus the fact the he often reiterated how easy I would be to replace.
  5. The days I worked before I resigned, plus any holiday pay, I think.
  6. Well, I left because he's a homophobic, racist chauvinist, but that's a different story. We're supposed to get paid by BACS on the 28th of each month, which included any payment for the remaining days of the month. Wages are normally processed on the 15th regardless, and he usually estimates what people will be working, odd I know, but he's new to the business and clearly didn't understand our previous system so invented his own. I didn't care so long as I got paid correctly, which I did, but in cash, having to put it in the bank myself. I wrote saying I was leaving and would not be working my notice and basically that's all I said. I have no loyalty to him, he's only been there 4 months and has made my life absolute hell, so I applied for another job, got it and gave my notice in the same day. He wrote to me saying he was shocked I had resigned and was it really what I wanted, and also that I should have worked 3 weeks notice. I contacted him and referred him to the appropriate part in my contract which states I should give 1 weeks notice. I said I have already informed you that I wouldn't be working my notice. I'm obviously not expecting to be paid any notice I clearly didn't work, but I am owed 2 days wages and something like 1 & 1/2 days holiday. When he wrote he did say any monies would be forwarded to me. Now I know he's going to try and be awkward about it. It's a franchise and he took over in February and has been an absolute nightmare. He's deducted money from my wages, then refused to investigate the incident surrounding this. He's swore at me, been homophobic towards me. His racism is of the inverse kind, as in he can't stand white people, he's got rid of all the previous staff members on very dubious terms, he's made sexually suggestive comments to me and to members of the general public, but when challenged he says it's his business and he can do what he wants. He insisted that I get a P45 from the previous manager, which I can't do, since I don't know how to get hold of him. He said if I didn't get one he would consider my contract void, since anyone could have written it. The franchise owners (the named company) won't get involved in employee relations, though that have been sympathetic. I just want what he owes me, and never to have to see him again.
  7. I left my job on the 8th June, I wrote to my employer and handed in my notice in person. My contract said I had to work 1 week, but I stated in my notice that I wouldn't be working it. I was supposed to be paid today, but haven't been. I'm owed some holidays too, what do I do now?
  8. Hey there BTB, I think the least you can expect is a proper apology.
  9. You can all calm down!! I found them, and their thread is here http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/hsbc-bank/88701-hubby-hsbc.html#post849064
  10. Hiya, it was me *waves*. I hope you get get something suitable back from them. I posted here when I recieved it asking what to do. I'm subscribing to your thread to see what happens.
  11. They are SR. I've sent it to them for them to deal with.
  12. Title says it all really. I've received a settlement offer from D & G. In my envelope was someone else settlement offer. What do I do with it?
  13. While I thank you for the above post, can I just state that nowhere did I say I intended to keep the money. I am well aware of the fact that the money is not mine, but infact the banks. Your post implies that I intended to keep it and I find it deeply offensive that you have implied this. If you read the post before it, I actually said I was contacting the bank to inform them of their incompetence. I also said in the post that followed that I wouldn't dare keep the money as it would, and I quote "come back and bite me on my butt, and Lloyds would end up taking me to court". I can't believe how utterly offended I am right now.
  14. Ooooo, I don't know if I'd dare, it would come back and bite me on my butt. Lloyds would take me to court instead!! Evans. xox
  15. Just checked our online banking after sending the letters on Monday, and they've paid the interest & S.A.R. fee................... and the charges again:rolleyes: Don't they read anything? How completely incompetent! I've now got to ring them and tell them they've paid us our charges twice! Anyway, WE WON!!!! Evans. xox
  16. Just an update to say I've no response to any of my letters and I'll be filing an N1 on Monday. Evans. xox
  17. You are an absolute star!!! Thank you very much, I'll get those 3 things done today. Evans. xox
  18. Thanks, I'll get it sorted tomorrow. Do I need to include anything about the fact that Lloyds have already paid the charges?
  19. I don't want to appear rude but S, C & M have specifically asked me to write to them stating what has been paid and the outstanding balance, since as previously said all they are now defending is the interest and S.A.R. fee. If I do complete the AQ, what is the point.... Evans. xox
  20. I've contacted S, C & M by telephone and informed them that Lloyds have actually paid the £440.00 charges and that what they are now defending in court is the charges and S.A.R fee. I was asked to write to S, C & M informing them of this, with details of the charges repaid and outstanding interest now due. Can anyone help compose a letter to send to them? Evans. xox
  21. They haven't asked me to inform the courts that the case has been settled....
