  2. hi, i just found this old thread and would like to revive it, this site is so huge, my wife[ also company secretary ] is currently is in a phsyciatric observation unit ,having had some kind of breakdown, for a stress related illness, this is obviously causing ME a lot of stress, she has now been in the observation unit for 5 weeks and it could be many more yet, and once she comes home, she wont be able to return to work for several months, if ever it is only since this happened, that i have had to take over the running of the office side of our small family business it has been a huge eye opener un beknown to me, she has been getting deeper into dedt, proping up the business with credit cards, all because of these cumalative unpaid item charges and unarranged borrowing fees, over the last 4 1/2 years the money has just been chasing its tail from business account, to private account, to credit card, and back again , all the time robbing peter to pay paul i am convinced that this has been a major contributing factor to her illness, the problem is, how do i prove it i am about to put the bank in court for approx. £3,500 for unpaid item fees, but now i dont know whether to hold off to get more advice on claimng for this i am wonderin g if this is too big a problem for the small claims court, and should i pursue it as a seperate claim,is there anybody out there with medical knowledge that can help meBob
  3. can i charge natwest 29.5% on all the quarterly interest charges , as i cant seperate the agreed charges and the unagreed charges interest LEASE WILL SOMEONE HELP ME Bob
  4. hi, i may as well forget it then, as i am nearing the court stage i tried the spreadsheets on here, but couldnt understand them Bob
  5. thanks for reply i am really struggling to get any help with this issue there is a lot of money slipping through peoples fingers, but nobody on this site, or the other one, seem bothered when is your court case? as i understand it, it never gets to court, they always settle on the last day, so how will the judge be able to decide the interest? you might be interested in the 29.5% interest calculater on penaltycharges.co.uk, it will give you a fright, how much you could claim with compound interest its no good to me, as i cant seperate my agreed borrowing interest from the unarranged borrowing Bob
  6. hi i run asmall ltd company with my wife, i am waiting for the 14 days to end so i can go to court, but i want to screw them for more if i can i have been paying unarranged borrowing fees for years, and the "unpaid item" charges have usually been responsible for pushing my account over the agreed overdraught limit has anybody tried to claim back unarranged borrowing interest of 29.5%? the problem is that the arranged borrowing fee of 5% above base rate, and the unarranged borrowing fee of 29.5%, are lumped together as a quarterly charge, with no way of knowing how they can be seperated claiming these charges could be a huge stab in the side for natwest imagine recouping charges at 29.5% over 6 years with compound interest? somebody out there must know how to sort this out somebody help please, i only have 7 days left to prepare my spreadsheet with interest, and i dont want them to get away with a penny bob
  7. hi i am strugling to find out how to calculate the interest charged on unorthorised borrowing my over draught is charged at 5%, but after this any borrowing is charged at 29.5% but the two charges are shown as one lump sum how do i calculate them seperately? Bob
  8. hi again, having read your message again, am i right in thinking that the interest shown on the statements, is only for the unarranged borrowing, if so, what are the overdraught charges shown as [or what are they called] Bob
  9. thanks, but i still need to know how to seperate the unarranged borrowing from the overdraft charges
  10. thanks for that, natweststaffmember, as i said, the problem i am having is how do i seperate or calculate the unaranged borrowing from the the agreed overdraft borrowing, as they are lumped together as one interest charge Bob
  11. Hi, his is my first post, finding it very difficult to navigate the site, i will update if i can work out how to find it again, i hope i am posting this in the right place going through my business statements for the last 4 years, and it looks like they have ripped me off for about £3000!!! just in un paid items--- small family business--[just myself and wife] i have a few questions if anyone would be kind enough to help 1 as a ltd company, do i need to send a different letter? 1a i presume i cant claim for standard account charges 2 i have a £3000 overdraft---when they calculate the debit interest, which they do quarterly, they charge 5% for the overdraft, and 29.5% for unarranged borrowing, the problem i have is how to calculate the interest for the unarranged borrowing, as they calculate the two together, or can i claim for the whole lot? it is just shown as interest on the statement 3 what is the "referral charge for the month ", and can i claim for this 4 other stuff i have been charged for, that im not sure if i can claim are: a overdraft arrangement fee b stop cheque fee c overdraft renewal fee d overdraft fee e arrangement fee f security fee any help with the above would be great, if i can find answers to all the above, then i shoud be able to get my claim in by the end of next week---i feel quite excited ,having been meaning to do this for the last six months sorry to appear a bit thick, but i have never been inolved with this side of the business, it is only since my wife has had a stroke and been diagnosed with a manic illness, that i have had to get inolved in the office, and unearthed all this. many thanks Bob Wells
  12. we are a Ltd company, and running nearly on our overdraft limit am i thick? what is a parachute account?
  13. Hi everyone, this is my first time, and not being used to these forum sites, i am finding it incredibly hard to navigate around the site, you seem to have to hunt for everything anyway, i run a small manufacturing business with my wife (secratery) ,and it seems that she has been making an incredible amount of mistakes in the office, it appears that she has had a medical problem for some time, and is now in hospital because of this. so i have had to give myself a crash course in how to run the office side of the business, and i have discovered a huge amount of bank charges, going back nearly 6 years i have spent a couple of days fumbling around and done loads of reading, as it suggests i am about to start claim proceedings, and wondered if anyone knows if it is the same procedure for a Ltd BUSINESS, or is there a different set of forms and approach to take? many thanks----will update as and when
  14. i am finding the library section isnt very self explanatory, plus i cant find anything about businesses
