  1. Why would you say that? or are you saying that Welcome have no actual insurance in place but hope peeps like me do not make a claim. Anyway, I presume the insurance is under Welcome own name not mine and I presume they have a block of insurance policies and not just one for me.
  2. Asked someone at Welcome who the insurance is with and he quoted "Norwich Union". Regards
  3. I contacted Welcome in regards to the above and they state that they do not give full refunds but refunds on a pro-rata basis. Can someone confirm this is the case and welcome are sending out a leaflet with the PPI's terms and conditions. Are these T&C applicable to me now considering I took the agreements out in 2005. Regards.
  4. Guys, I sent the below letter off to Welcome on the 31/12/08 and they received it on the 3rd Jan 09, was sent via registered post so I know they received it via tracking. The letter reads: Can someone tell me how long they have to reply and whats the next stage. Regards
  5. I claimed for my deceased father on behalf of my family back in 2005 a claim against british coal. The claim was settles and Beresfords paid out £1450 which they said was full and final and advised to accept or take the matter privately. My father worked in the pits from the age of 14 and died from a pit injury at 54, thats 40 years in the pit and for what peanuts. I was at the time disgusted with the very low payout and expected a lot more because a lot more was being paid out for similar cases. When I heared this on the news I was shocked and gobsmacked to say the least and wondered the same if a claim can be brought against Beresfords for Negligence. Con merchants Just found this:
  6. I'll dig the paperwork out (as long as the misses has not thrown it) and post details. Will also check misses credit file for searches as well. Regards all and thanks.
  7. Nowt, just says we owe so, so xx amount from 2002 which I know is wrong because we know where the original debt came from.
  8. But we dont have any paperwork to show its over 6 years old but the court papers say its only 2 years old. That must be when they or others purchased the debt and not when it was first taken out.
  9. Hi, In 1999 I moved in to a new house and wife purchased a product via a cataloge, lost job around 2000 and have not paid since. In 2003 we moved again and in 2007 moved again but had redirected mail setup via royal mail. The other day wife received a CCJ for this debt which is over 6 years old and concidering it was delivered to an old address and if it was not for re-delivered mail we would of not known about it. Looks like the debt has been taken over by a collection agency. Now, she has ignored the CCJ and now waits for it to be registered so she can get it disputed and removed. Is this ok and/or whats the correct action to take. Regards
  10. Just asked the wife about the PPI claim for they sent me months ago and she said she threw it out because we didnt claim. Will check my paperwork tomorrow when I get home from work and report back. Regards, PS, Why not calll them and ask?
  11. Ummm I did recall making enquiries about a possible claim but I never did go through with the claim and have never claimed so far. They did tell me who the company was and I'll dig the paperwork out and see if I wrote it down and get back to you. asap. Regards. PS, SAR: is there a particular link for download and a particular address I need to send it to?
  12. Hi all, Yes Im aware that there are loads of threads and posts about the very same problem I have but I like to keep my posts all in one section, so here goes. Back 3 years ago due to redundancy. loss of jobs etc I was put through the ringer and now have bad credit, hence Welcome Finance was the only company whom would provide me with a loan for a car. The car itself was purchased from an independend dealer and not Welcomes showrooms themselves and again I was told that the loan would not be approved if I didnt agree o the PPI and this was from the dealer and Welcome themselves so like a fool I agreed. Now I've 12 months remaining on the car and now wish to claim back the PPI. Back 2 years ago me and my wife agreed to a seperate loan and back 12 months ago refinanced the loan again to get some cash back, a bad move but thats life and these 2 loans had PPI attached to them as well so my question is............ How can I claim back the PPI from the car and the 2 loans? Where do I start? I have all the agreements to hand and seeking advise. If I can get WF to pay back the PPI on all 3, then thats the car paid for and some of the loan as well. Comments! Regards.
  13. Did receive a reply back but they requested that I visited a local brance with current proofs of address etc to change over the old bank account address details to the current address. Im dubious to be honest just in case they have some underhanded trick up there sleaves. Its now passing month by months and Im loosing ££££ each day. Is it now worth me claiming for a few months of money or see if I can claim over the 6 years? Regards
  14. Sorry to bring up old news from http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/show-post/post-1634864.html But I find this comment strange and incorrect as I've 2 accounts with WFS one car and one loan, well did have 3 but refinanced one loan into another one. Which Im going to claim soon for 3 loads of PPI. Best of luck to the OP here with his claim. Regards

  18. Will do, just out of interest I've enclosed a copy statement with the S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) and found 2 old statements from 2002. I didnt know they included a list of charges at the bottom and I've added up just the 2 statements and it comes to: 301.47 183.40 ------- 524.47 ------- And thats without interest to me. They are per month and the statement numbers are 30 and 32 so god help them when I add all of the charges up. Regards.
